I had read that this song was written for Marko's wife. I personally spent 15 years being depressed, and an alcholic. I like the duet of Marko and Tarja! I hope they put out some more songs together! And something this old long time Led Zepplin fan remembered was a similar intro to more than one song they put out in the late 1960's and 70's. But...hearing this song makes me feel like I was " Left on Mars " for all those years. But....now I am almost 25 years clean and sober...no depression any more!! Nice to hear you are living in the US!!!

Thank you for the reaction. As you said, what a ride. Seeing the two of them singing together and smiling at each other is a wonderful feeling. I feel like things are right again. I like Marko's style of music and I also love science fiction. I'm glad it's different than what most people expected from them. I really like his first solo album, as well as what he did in Tarot, although I haven't listened to all their albums yet. He should release a new solo album at the beginning of next year. About the song. Marko said it started as a love song to his wife, but ended up bringing the two friends together. But he also said that the song can be perceived in different ways. But both of them filmed this video in such a way that it suggests that it is also about them, and this is how they perform it at concerts. So the meaning of this song has shifted and expanded a lot since its inception. And lyrically it also fits their history perfectly. Marko also promised Tarja that in exchange for her singing this duet with him, he would join in whatever she asked him to do. They embarked on a long tour of South America last month and have announced a fall tour in Europe.

I've been a fan of the certain symphonic metal band since 2004. and I realize now - that is 20 years... damn... I remember seeing them live several times when they were both still in Nightwish. I love them ALL. Every single one of them, whether they still are in the band or not. I loved them back then, I also love the current line-up. These two are very special and dear to me and I love that they are creating new music together again. Watching your reaction and seeing you getting equally nostalgic makes me also very happy ❤

Hi Chase! I believe i read that Marko originally wrote this song about some communication issues he was having with his wife (partner? not sure) but when he got Tarja on board, the meaning behind the lyrics kinda took on a life of their own, you could say!
@Rock.metal.letras10 ай бұрын
I love seeing how musicians evolve in their styles and voices. I see Marko more relaxed making his music and Tarja doesn't sing "opera style", she does some very nice beltings. On the tour they did a few days ago they sang songs from Tarja's solo career (I hope they record them together officially): dark star and dead promises. I was lucky enough to see them live and wow!! Those voices are a privilege live. I hope you can react to Tarja in her solo career, she recently released dark star remastered or to some of the other songs that have strange (but beautiful) structures like anteroom of death. Tarja does not follow a single style, that is why each song you hear from her is different. It's difficult to analyze Tarja based on a single song. returning to dark star is a song that IMO she made for Thomas (Nightwish) and for me it is a message that they sang it together. please react to that song!

I'm probably reading way too much into this, but it's interesting that in the end of the video they are standing together and looking at the sky when there's a shooting star. Could this be a hint that they still have some kind of a major musical "wish" that they want to fulfill together?

Well, I am not a reaction video expert and I appreciate what you have done all through the last few years, especially with Nightwish, but to be stark and honest... Tarja is a great reference point in how much I appreciate Floor's unearthly talent and Marko, he is simply the best, but with Nightwish...my God, surely you remember "Endlessness" and the whole darn 2013 Wacken event which is THE platinum standard. You would admit it in secret. Keep going Chase, it is good for you to give this video your thumbs up, but Marko must have forgiven Tarja's husband for this to happen. ....and thus most of us in the Army pray to Oden for Marko and Nightwish back in some capacity in 2026. We can only Ever dream, can't we?

This song is so good even though it still seems that Marko outshines Tarjas voice a bit. What is amousing these two having a collab is that Marko was the one who pushed the things in motion to get rid of Tarja from NW. Maybe he is now ”paying back” some lost years to her.
