This reminds me of one of those animal folk tales such as “how the camel got its hump” or “how the snake lost its legs” but this time it’s with woodlice which is way better. Great work mate, the setting of it being in the Palaeozoic specifically just makes it even nicer in retrospective given how it shows how much arthropods and their relatives dominated back then, alongside amphibians and mollusks too.

These designs are so criminally adorable AND accurate. I popped off when I saw that velvet worm, especially when they used their slime to string up some shelter for the lil’ isopod! I bawled watching this, but in a happy way. Both for the love of nature, and the love of animation, that this makes so crystal-clear.

It's so awesome to spot so many animals of the paleozoic!! It's really rare to see animals from that era being represented in media nowadays, so it's really awesome how you filled your animation to the brim with these less known animals, even if most people won't recognize!
@KingDrakoTyrell6 ай бұрын
Fr! This could have been a regular animation about an isopod buttt the creator decided to make something more unique by placing it in another era (which can still work because certain bugs and insects have stayed the same for millions of years.) I hope this creator continues animation :)

well, yeah, it’s cool that more paleozoic life is getting more representation in media, but that isn’t really to say this an example of accurate representation. don’t get me wrong, it’s better than the jurassic series and how they turn regular animals into mindless killing machines, but there’s still somethings that are to be desired.

@joylolly44585 жыл бұрын
This is now one of my favorite things, and I'll tell you why. You use of colors, both the variety and combos, are gorgeous💕 The way you express emotions simplistically, not needing too many details to know what the characters are feeling, how you convey to the viewer what's happening without and verbal dialog, your "simplistic" art style, that you can actually see the sketch lines, rather than being "clear-cut", your backgrounds, the different atmospheres, the multitude and various creatures present, their designs and the difference color choices and combos, the score, the lighting, etc. And that's only a short list of the things that caught my attention and made me love this. I seriously can't even imagine all the hard work, effort and dedication that went into making this. I'm seriously so proud of you💞 Excited to see what other treasures you have in store for the future😊

The artist took a few liberties. Apparently the main character isopods are a pet variant that can't be found in the wild. And some of the smaller animals seem to only be based on animals that would have been around instead of specific species. The weirdest thing for me are the time travelers. This clearly takes places during the carboniferous (the time of the first ever forest and giant insects) but there are "guest appearances" of Cambrian animals (that should be long extinct by now) and at least one Permian animal (that shouldn't exist yet)
