How much more effort is required now, with the outriggers in the water?
@rick9283 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't feel any difference at all.

nice work... what are the pontoons made from?
@rick9285 жыл бұрын
They are made from 4" (100mm) plastic pipe with turned oak nose cones. I have put a link in the description telling how I made it all

To verify What size and schedule of PVC did you use for the out rigger frame and pontoons? Also what was the size of the aft hatch you installed?
@rick9286 жыл бұрын
Hi Ed, the main pontoons are 100mm and the rigger frames are 42mm (standard water pipes) The aft hatch is approx 170mm (max) Hope this helps

OK talking to a yank. Is the pipe schedule 40 then? The Pontoons are 3 inch and the frame is 1.5 inches?

4 inch pontoon, 1.5 inch frame, 6.5 inch hatch. thanks for the help. I have the same kayak I want to put stern lights on so the hatch will help with the wiring, the outriggers will be nice out on the salt water but I thing I will use schedule 80 PVC pipe for strength & rigidity.

Yes, the hatch in the back really helps with the wiring and bolting the outriggers etc. Good luck!
