[Outadated] How to upload your Vroid (VRM) Model to VRChat in under 5 minutes!

Hey Guys! hope this helps some of you to get your OC's into VRChat so we can make it an even more amazing and fun place!
a few caveats -
1) I am assuming you already have a vroid model but if not I have attatched a tutorial below
2) Please ensure you have an email from VRchat stating that you are able to upload avatars to the platform, if not you will need to play some more VRChat

This seriously helped me. I couldn't get the VRM0 tab to appear but the simple advice of dropping it in a second time was vital information that allowed me to finally export my model to vrchat. Thank you so very much!

Can I just say thank you! I wasn't initially confident in my ability to make avatars for vrchat, but your tutorial is so straight forward that I keep making more and coming back here to follow it through again just so I don't miss any steps. ☺ The only issue I've had is sometimes the model's in game emote wheel will be completely empty, but I've pretty sure that is something to do with my internet connection as it seems to be completely random on whether it breaks or not.

Fyi if anyone else has this problem, I found out it specifically happens if I reupload a model. Including if I only do it as a test version and then upload it again as an online model. Dont know why. Just know that if theres anything I want to change I have to start over from the beginning of the process

For some reason when I was extracting the Booth VRM converter it didn't have a Unity package (maybe because I'm on Mac? who knows) so I ended up finding a different video that had a Google Drive link to download the package. From there it worked great, thank you!

if youre doing this in the new vcc update, just so the same thing but open a fresh avatar program in vcc then import the booth thing then just follow as normal

I dont think this works anymore sadly, I import the items to unity and the VR thing doesn't appear at the top and the files disappear under the assets section at the bottom :( EDIT: It worked after upgrading to the 2022 unity

Yeah I'm not too sure either! There must be a tick box or something, can always reduce the values from 10 -10, 8 -8 to make it a little less wild

One has to have the VRChat-account with the avatar import already allowed and other requirements faced (do I really have to make friends before I can import an avatar?! 😰). I have long way to go before I can use this video so I'll save it for later, seems super easy to do! Thank you!

Booth ja can be changed to en for easier understanding. (It changes most of the language to English.)

Looks like the plug-in i imported on unity doesn't work. The new voice doesn't appean on the Unity's taskbar! (I imported both the plugin version from booth, both the one from github that looks more specific for windows users)

It is not working for me: when I drag and drop the sdk, nothing shows up next to the VRM0 for it like in the step before it in the video. I have redownloaded the sdk a few times and tried dragging in again, but all it does is add it to the "packages" folder, and when I go to duplicate it just says "VRChat SDK3-Avatars has not been imported" I have done everything else by the book as you say, and I am feeling defeated

Lucky for you this is a very common problem. So the order you put them in is critical, BUT sometimes the first one doesn't actually fully import. Drag it once. Wait 10 mins. Drag it again to make sure it's there, then do the next file. Alot of people including me have had this issue. I guess unity is weird. If u put the 2nd file in before 1st one is completed it never works. I don't get it either aha

Hi there, I followed the video to the letter and was able to get my models in game perfectly with no issues. Thanks! However I was wondering if you knew of any way to get the mouth to move when you speak? My model seems to work perfectly other than that small issue. Thanks again for the great video!

Hmmm now I can't be 100% sure but I THINK in the menu where u set how expressive you want the eyes there might be a tick box or drop down to confirm you want voice synchronising (or something like that), if it's not that u could just be muted in the game but try the first option . I'm not at my pc right now but if u can't find the option I'll have a look when I'm home
