Outback Aus colours Terracotta pot acrylic flow dirty cup pour : no silicone

Creating beautiful earthy tones to embrace the colours of the Australian outback seemed a challenge but in reality it was very simple to achieve. With this pot I decided to forego my frequent use of a high gloss medium and leave the paints in their manufactured state and I'm extremely pleased with how they've come up.
All the paints I use are Mont Marte Dimension paints. These are a high viscosity paint which makes them go further and enables me to mix a thicker paint if I want.
The PVA is also Mont Marte and is acid free making it suitable for use with photos and other art forms. It does not colour the paints.
I use Flood Floetrol.

Barry Radburn sure was! I ended up spending an age on it and cut it from the video. The bubbles are just little tiny holes in the terracotta where the liquid in the paint soaks in. Sometimes it leaves a nice effect such as when there are lots - I hope have time over the coming days to edit up a clip where a pot did that to me; other times like this, they're just annoying!

Kate Eggleston not everyone uses it but I find it gives me a better result. It's hard to subscribe the difference but I also use it to help seal the pots externally as it's a good sealer. I guess it helps with keeping the colours separated a little in the cup but it's ado long since I experimented without it. I'm not sure I answered your question but I hope this helps. 🙂

Shehnaz Hussain I use acrylic paints and add pva glue and floetrol. To increase the cells, I add silicone spray. I hope this answers your question as I've not been able to translate correctly.

Camille Fulton I've been thinking along those lines. Haven't come up with anything that I'm happy with as yet so I'm content with creating something which is simply uniquely me based on style and colours etc. when I work out that elusive thing I feel driven to create, you can be sure I'll be all over it! Wood working course coming up this weekend on top of a large market day... things to come!
