A twig wouldn't have accomplished depressing the valve, good on you for finding a something "more" to get the job done, simply amazing you survived!

Thank you. A twig may have done just as good job, but it is hard when there are no twigs at hand. We use what we have in the moment, to solve the issues at hand. Cheers Geoff

Thank you they are an awesome vehicle the Perentie. As for security, don't keep much in them and then there isn't much to steal. Really glad you are enjoying our videos and fingers crossed you win that magic lotto ticket. Kind regards, Geoff

I have a Victorinox mini knife on my keychain. It has two blades, a toothpick and a tweezer. All can be used to deflate your tires.

Hi Jeff I agree that a multi tool is a very handy bit of kit to always have on your person. I have Leatherman brand that I have carried with me all the time and it has come to the rescue more than once. Great video

Thanks Tim. They do make life easier no matter what brand they are, as long as they bit as rigged as the challenges that they may need to over come, like yours and mine. Many thanks, Kind regards, Geoff

Great Video Geoff. I am old enough to remember Jack and Reg Absolem. That Sigma went everywhere. I think they had a L300 van at one stage. He also used an exhaust powered air bag jack to lift the car up out of a whole. Camp cooking specialist as well as survival tips. I also have a couple of multi tools.
@seriouslyseriesaustralia7 ай бұрын
He was really a true character Jack. Started off life as ring fighter, then roo shooter and moved on to be an accomplished artist. You are right that Sigma went everywhere. I haven't hear of the L300 van, I will look into that one. My favorite survival tip of his is using a can of beer as a fire extinguisher.Kind regards, Geoff

I've got a multi tool in the console, haven't needed it yet, but it's there! I changed a tyre with an 8 inch shifter and no jack once. Lucky the wheel nuts weren't too tight. There's always a way (I hope)

Hey Geoff, I recently discovered your chanel and have fallen in love with vintage off-roaders, I hope to get one of my own very soon. Would you be able to point me in the right direction or make a short video listing some of the differences/advantages/disadvantages between the military land rover series 2 and parentie? Thank you!
@seriouslyseriesaustralia7 ай бұрын
Hi @dipinderaulakh1688 and welcome to the Seriously Series KZbin community. As for your question, the military Series 2 and Perenite are two very different beats and are from two very different paths of technology. We have produced videos in the past about them and I have placed links below to where you can watch them. Australian Army Series Land Rovers kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHSzmGdtfr2an7ssi=ZhVjCOXI1jNyjEld Perenite buyers guide kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZqmY4GImbN1ga8si=ZnSsuIG5UKqY_GNj I hope these videos help? Kind regards Geoff

You can use the valve cap itself to deflate a tire. Don't drive anywhere without a real set of tools. It's victor, as in "to the victor go the spoils", concatenated with inox, the french word for stainless steel.

Hi Geoff, Good to know youout an about .. I know the Ol dust cap works also but if you're using someone else's gear .. they may not concious of having dust caps fitted .. initiative .. is a " tool kit " bigger than most. Cheers.
@seriouslyseriesaustralia7 ай бұрын
That is true and the design of the plastic designed dust caps do not work in terms of pushing the valve stem in to deflate the tyre. Fun fact most people in WA us plastic valve caps as many of the gravel roads are sprayed with the local ground water which is hyper saline and the slat causes the metal valve caps to rust on to the valve itself and you can't get hem, off when you need to. Thank you for both for your input and the grammatical correction. Kind regards Geoff
