Outback Gold Fever

Күн бұрын

The quad bike is finally going again so I’m taking it for a drive - to go metal detecting of course. Good to see there are still more gold nuggets to be found in the surrounding. How much gold can I find today?

I've tried but I can't pick up the sound changes. Did it take you long to work out the nuances of sounds between hot rock and something else Krissy?

@@OutbackGoldFever I love an honest answer, lol! I've asked this question to others and often get a "wine taster's" answer ("a hint of this, a whiff of that....)"!! Perhaps the camera audio makes it less easy to differentiate between sounds.
@NVMDSTEvil
@NVMDSTEvil 2 жыл бұрын
Its the pitch change. Gold also seems to make it a wavier type sound, likely due to size difference. Hot rocks being "large" gives a larger magnetic field to read. A smaller rock or a pointy one (like the one by the tree) would give a smaller field which would sound close to gold.

Dont know if you get back to see comments 4 months later but.... glad to see in this vid you showed the difference of signal between hot rocks and signals of gold... thats really the secret in detecting successfully. Noted it applied to the coiltech coil just like the z14 coil. When a person masters the different sounds, you can run the machine in "normal". And gain the improved depth and response of it over "difficult" which is just a "dumb down". Mode that only finds the easy targets.. thanks krissy, you go girl

The cold wind must be dreadful ... Much worse than summer heat, and this year might be worse than "normal" ... Personally, I love the long, insulated undergarments in winter. They help, but I definitely prefer summertime. You did well for your first trip in new country, and I'm still hopeful for that million dollar nugget to come rolling out with your pick ⛏️ I'm hoping it's so heavy you can't lift it, but instead you have to roll it up on a tarp and drag it back to camp with your bike!😜🤞👏🥰

Not my favorite thing Gardens lol!. Yes I laughed at the start like you said many of us would it is cold here too lol. Am 2.5 hours west of Brisbane so yes we get the cold here lol. Six nuggets well done mate hey I like your quad that would save you a lot of walking plus it shows it was good for carting some wood back to camp for you . I would rarther be fossicking in the cooler months than put up with the heat and mongrel flies plus less likely to stumble on a snake lol . Am glad you have your new van to snuggle up in when it gets too cold for you. Well good seeing you again take care and love your videos mate 😁

Something Ive been doing to try to find better places for metal detectorists to find relics (rather than gold nuggets) is base on digitally processing ground images. That last video of yours that I watched - I applied a method developed 7yrs ago which saw me reveal A Pair of Sibling Owls drawn in heavy cobblestones that were under the depth of the plough in a field in Staffordshire UK. I posted my image online to prove it's existence & significant location. I published it for 2 reasons; So people knew that such imaging processes DO work rather than don't (I adapted it to work with sea water - I immediately found a complete shipwreck sitting underwater on a sandbank, woohoo! Apparently I was paying attention in Physics after all - and - because of who I am, I know which Fleet it's from and that it's *loaded* with gold coins, so this is one way to find gold); The 2nd reason I published my Staffordshire Owls image showing them to be virtually identical to OZZIE The Staffordshire Pottery Owl made famous when featured on Antiques Roadshow was to prove that I'm one of the 2 little girls who drew those owls : ) As unlikely as it may seem - I know where the gold came from that was used to make the Staffordshire Hoard found in 2009 by "AMATEUR" metal detectorist (could they have demeaningly used that word any more times in the Saxon Gold documentary?? FFS, Terry Herbert found what the "professional' Archeologists didn't so who's the true professional Haha; I should prob. be careful what I say as Im pretty sure Lead Archeologist Prof. Lesley Webster is my Mum's Cousin? Noreen Renier who co-wrote/contributed to the book Psychic Archeology, she was my Past Life youngest granddaughter and my current life Gran's younger sister, plus, I was born Evelyn Renier in 1955 with our family having come to Scotland from France so I've been reborn 3 times consecutively into my own descendant line; fascinating if you believe in Serial Reincarnation which is of course NOT 'fiction'); Not only that, one of the funniest men on KZbin - a Gold Prospector & Miner is my Uncle Jeff. I saw him when he was still a baby in a cot in 1956 sleeping beside his twin sister (my Aunt Jacqueline) and I met him again in my next+current life when I was a kid & he was16. Funny Then, Funnier Now. This makes Gold Bunny a bit of a Ninja when it comes to armchair gold prospecting. In your last video (that I watched) you picked up a nice gold nugget from a place where "other nuggets had been found in the past", so, I processed the image of the ground and I saw it had the *invisible-until-processed* ground scar of a large oblong box perhaps 12ft x 20ft?, so a piece of heavy gold mining machinery had likely been sited at that EXACT spot. My Point is that if you had overhead views of the sites you search and you processed those images as I've done, you can SEE what's not visible to your naked eye, locate where people have detected/mined in the past, and perhaps increase your your Nugget Find Rate.

High of 10 deg c is spring time in Washington State.June is called Junuary in most years.We are at 20c right now so I'm enjoying it. Western Washington has had hugh amounts of rain this year.It was the wettest May in 74 years according to the news.We had a few showers today. You are a tough person to endure the conditions out there. I'm 71 yo and so the desert metal detecting in Arizona is over for me. I fell off a 1 meter garden wall 10 days ago and just now starting to feel better. Think about getting into something else real soon because aging will overtake you before you know it. I wish you well and continued good health but time is not going to stop for any of us so think of 10 years from now. Gold will last forever but we won't.
