Its a shame the company is washing their hands of the problem and good on you for telling the truth and letting others know they wont help you.

Yeah you are sooooo right, Outbound Motorhome Products might not be the right choice. Not only for not providing any service, but also for a 6 month leadtime. Thanks for you supportive comment! Helps us to continue. Cheers!

When starting a generator, always let it warm up before putting load on it and also let it cool down without load. Will last alot longer.👍
@uglysjourney
@uglysjourney 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Daniel, thank you! You are very right. In my experience the generator even stalls when a larger load is put on it directly after starting. So I have learned my lesson, but please, keep the good advice coming! Cheers.

Eigenlijk best spannend. Groetjes!

Great job! Outbound is ridiculous expensive, but they get paid because looks strong/rugged and there is a TUV approval on those. They ask a lot because the lack of same products from competitors. I intend to build and sell same kind of products for half of the money in a year or two. I am courious if your Sika glue will crack in a few years since you mount a GFRP window frame on a steel box , because different temperature expansion / contraction rate. Not to mention how hot will get your metal roof in the summer days.. will almost burn de glue. Good luck with your build! It looks strong, almost bulletproof 🙂✌️

Thanks Silviu! But you get me worried a bit as well.... Do you have experience with Sika? It is the automotive standard, especially here in NL, so I expect it to be good. Please share your experience and knowledge so others can benefit! You are right though, there is quite some temperature difference between inside and outside. Insulation is working! 😃👍 Cheers!!

@@uglysjourney , yes, my camper's GFRP walls box has Aluminiul L shape corners glued with Sika by the producer and allready had some infiltration. I reglued them (also with Sika - 11FC), but it seams will crack again in a few years. It happens because different elongations of each material. Gfrp has less expansion, almost zero, while Aluminium (in my case) has longer expansion. Same happens in the cold weather with contractions. Even that Sika is an elastic glue, it seams is afected by heat and freeze. Good motorhone boxes are monocoque or use the same material for sheet walls and corners. Sika also recommend using a primer before applying the glue. I didn't and neither you didn't. So this could be a mistake.. You will, probably, be fine for some years, but keep an eye on them.

There is a saying 'You get what you pay for'...I don't think Outbound have heard of this. They will lose out from doing the right thing !

Hi Spectrum, thanks for giving a comment! I think I understand what you say, but I am not sure. To be honest I think that the people.who founded Outbound are amazing. I feel it is the people they hire that are making a mess.... Hope someone will see it!

Marco you know this behavior is a normality in Europe i recently had a expedition vehicle built not naming names for various reasons the norm is the companies don't even bother answering or returning your call the rules the altitudes the arrogance and ignorance is just incredible

Thanks for you comment! 👍❤️ I did not know this and it surprises me very much. I usually have good experiences, that is why I made this video, because Outbounds reaction was so disappointing...... Are you enjoying your vehicle now?

6:55 min. ....what a total BS....Do you have a legal insurance? As a consumer you have a legal right to a sound product. This means that the product must have the properties or that you can reasonably expect on the basis of the purchase agreement. The reflection period ends 14 days after the product has been delivered or the contract for a service has been concluded. Until then, according to the law, you can cancel the purchase without reason. Delivery time in this case is probably evident. I think you can start a case against this firm. I hope there will be a solution for you and Sabine.
@uglysjourney
@uglysjourney 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you are very right, I should follow a legal route and indeed I would make a very good chance (btw this is a business purchase so other rules apply, but still). I decided against it since I still wanted to continue. So with this I hope I can warn others.... You know, it was a simple as using sanding paper and a bit of time.... I cannot understand why Outbound cannot give that advice, offer an apology and perhaps some compensation. It feels the success has gotten the better of them. Anyway sooooo much thanks for your heartfelt reaction!! ❤ it really really helps!
