This might seem strange, but old resident evil zombies were the best. They were slow, moaning and genuinely scary. None of this hissing zombies that are on today's shows and movies. Its like the guy in charge of that department is 13 years old and thinks that just because zombies hiss and make mean faces are more scary. I really loved how the game was "Scenarios", that showed possible outcomes that even could have been. Like how by blowing up the zombies, and not running, it almost implies the Raccoon City incident could have been stopped.

Grimno Realistically, if a city had a viral outbreak like this one, it would be quarantined regardless of the explosion happened or not. Plus, Umbrella isn’t just going to let an outbreak like this happen without attempting to tie up EVERY loose end.

The sad thing is that this "gemstone" never really got to shine. I think, at least here in Europe they didn't even offer online play for the first game and even with the second one hardly anyone had online connection on their PS2.

What makes outbreak so good is the fact that it was Capcoms way of showing us the story’s of other survivors aside from leon and Claire who not only been in the shithole of a city overrun by zombies , but what happened prior to the events of res 2 and how most of everything came about . (The fires , some of the explosions ,shit a lot of zombies were killed prior to res 2 sure it was still overrun but you saw how many zombies were in then streets in one of the in game cutscenes and in the res 2 opening

not to mention we get to explore many parts of raccoon city and what the virus turned them into. The one happy Raccoon Zoo turned into a hellhole for man-eating best, the once majestic Apple inn become the nest for the Licker, the University turned out to be involved in Umbrella too. I would like the 3rd games with better graphic but same (or improved) gameplay.

I always loved the fact that in the Outbreak Scenario, the "Canon" choice is to flee at the end, but if you blew up the zombies in the main street, it implies that Raccoon City would have been able to get the situation under control and things would have played out much differently because of it.

nope the canon way is that the main street got blown up but the police still got overwhelmed in the end. Its just prolonging the inevitable since the zombies and monsters are increasing every minute

canonically speaking, everyone apart from 10% of the people immune to it are already infected hence why no character is immune from the virus gauge as it reaches 100% the main characters from the main games are immune to every strain and only need some herbs to help soothe the pain, no antivirals needed

Outbreak is by far the most underrated part of the Resident Evil series. Capcom has SO MUCH potential to explore what it was like to survive in the city for a WEEK! The rampant infections, the police being overwhelmed with calls, RPD unable to do basic things (brush their teeth, take showers, etc.), people in early stages of infection, and all sorts of horrors! I'm even betting a shelved scenario might have been connected to the RE3 intro.

UNPRXDCTVBLX _ You get infinite weapons if you beat it on hard under 5 hours, which isnt easy to do. Outbreak has auto lock on, dodging, theres a lot more fighting in a smaller amount of time.

The situation felt so real. I wanted to just quit and die and get the enivitable death over with. BUT THEN I did something stupid, I dared to hope and strove to survive and in the end, I MADE IT! 😢 RIP AI partners to zombie shark and random heart attack in elevator. This cure was for you! 😭

The dead factory is not cannon. The military set up a quarantine around the city. Unbrella sent in their UBCS to save civilians. In reality they were sent in to test the power of umbrella 's BOWs unbeknownst to the UBCS. That's why the military never went in, umbrella said their men will handle it.

What people dont understand saying the city could have been saved is that there were actualy 3 seperate outbreaks that caused raccoon city to fall , the mansion incident was never fully contained and continued to spread towards the city, the rats in the sewer spread the infection aswell and lastly there were minor incidents at the "Dead Factory" and in other labs that occured around this same time that ultimatley led to the water being infected via mansion outbreak , persons being infected from contaimenated food via rats also fecal matter and bites plus rats spread the infection from their corpse plus predatory animals. Then individuals from seperate incidents from other labs and the factory. Ultimatley anyone who drank water from the town was infected.

@reece798able PVR was 200 last I saw and you can use the component cables from the Ps3 for it. Those are pretty cheap. Oh, I also use Sony Vegas to adjust the brightness and saturation.
