Hey guys, this is one of the best videos I have ever seen regarding cruising. You delivered the information in a factual manner and avoided the criticism, name calling, and throwing of insults that I saw today from some guy named Don. As a frequent cruiser, I pay particular attention to the latest cruise news. I was not pleased with what happened to you and your fellow cruisers yesterday; however, I understand that with progress there is bound to be the odd setback. I currently have five active cruise bookings, including with Seadream in Feb 2022. I think we can all agree that the industry needs more good rather than bad; however, ranting and raving over this event does not help in any way, shape, or form. Thank you so much for telling us the facts and highlighting the positive aspects of your tough situation. Stay safe and happy travels.

What travellers need to do, is stop travelling recreationally until a vaccine has been found. *Or* travellers need to submit to mandatory quarantine... but nobody wants to do that. You can be negative when you leave your country. Negative on arrival... And positive a few days later.. which is exactly what happened here. Mandatory 7-14 day quarantine is the only way around that. But, again, nobody wants to submit to that.

Tests are not enough to make leisure travel safe right now which is why governments are saying stay home and avoid all non essential travel.

Testing is definitely a way to prevent spread. If testing had been implemented in the US earlier, we would have had less spread! Test and then isolate!

Although I think that testing is a good thing and some people will take it seriously, there are still people who wouldn't and the people who don't take it seriously still to this day are the ones that are adding more fuel to the fire. I see more and more people in my state just not caring, more big parties, more trips to bars, and no social distancing.

You mentioned you were tested twice prior to boarding - however where you aware that tests do not work unless you have been infected with the virus for 48hrs? You leave from home everything is OK, on the way to your cruise port you contract the virus, you don't know, you show no symptoms and next day you board the ship still feeling fine and get tested - twice and al is OK. The following day you get tested and BAM, positive. In other words pre-boarding testing is useless!

Not to mention that its a rapid mutating virus Of course the test already out there will work for every mutation last count was 47 ongoing mutations Guy that's mutations that survived a and continued to spread possibility of over a 1000 where most don't manage to spread or become that deadly the kill before spreading As far as the world goes we know nothing about this virus in reality and have to keep learning as the goal posts shift At some point we will just have to get on with life but if you push science to the side and look to history it is most likely to die out in march 2021 just like the Spanish flu did in 1921 and 1821 before that going back 500 years this is repeated same pattern same spread world wide same build up to deaths despite numbers Let's hope for once history is above science

I am watching this on Saturday from an isolation facility in Barbados where my wife and I have been since Friday aftrennon. We are two of the 6 from the SeaDream that tested positive although 5 of us do not have symptoms at all. One man did have some serious breathing problems, but, is much better now. I have no idea how we tested positive. more to follow

Wow, thanks for the update. You tested positive because none of the tests anybody is using anywhere in the world can detect Covid infections in its early stages. Tests are most accurate about four days after exposure, which is usually around the same time that symptoms appear. The only way a ship can be Covid free is to institute a quarantine (minimum five days) before the initial testing and then embarkment.

The royal ship docked in Barbados next to you was my home for many months whilst I was waiting repatriation 🚢🛳

The two months I was talking about in my last comment I have two booked on Voyager Of The Seas, one for Tasmania here in Australia and the other for the Pacific Islands in consecutive months February and March but will wait and see what happens next month to see what Royal do with February and see for January what will happen with March at least they give about 2 months notice if any sailings get cancelled so it gives you time to figure out what to do next.

I just watched your current Seadream video and went to look for your other video to see the changes of the Yacht, I didn’t expect it to be a covid video… how strange it was to look back during that time and see how scared we all were and everything that was going on with testing and quarantining people like this. Keep in mind, there was no mask use on this cruise (reported), he even states that in the video "everyone is wearing masks NOW". It is too risky to get together with a few family members for Thanksgiving, but 50 people from all corners of the globe on this cruise should be no problem. I love cruising, will be great to get back to it hopefully in 2021, but now now.

I think it’ll be ok. There have already been a few reports of covid even in the bigger lines, and still we are seeing cruising start back up again. I think the important thing is that it’s not rampaging through the ship and they’re making the effort to keep it off the ship. Also, this vid proves they had a GREAT contingency plan in place in case the worst happens!

You don’t think that the Board of experts from RCI, NCl and the process they are going through. Doing test cruises and making sure it all works. That a small cruise line doing what they think is right, no disease experts involved. Should have bypassed waiting for the industry to come out with recommendations? Sea dream should be applauded for being the first ship to be the guinea pig for sailing and detecting kovid and creating the protocols and the precedents for every other ship out there. You guys did a great job on a very positive message understanding the situation and not being too alarming in your video. Guys, I was SO HOPING this would be the miracle cruise that would show the industry it CAN be restarted safely. But as a former crew member of several lines, a passenger and a travel agent who specialized in cruises I had my doubts. Also as someone who makes a living in entertainment and events in Las Vegas and around the world I have been shut down since Match 15 so I have a vested interest in everything returning ASAP. But I am also old enough and been around enough to accept REALITIES which apparently most passengers of cruises or people wanting Vegas to reopen NOW are simply unable to do. When cruises stopped (and Vegas shut down) in March I said they wouldn't be back until 2021 at the earliest and everyone called me insane. Once the lines started repatriotizing their crews I knew it could be even longer as it would take just as long to restaff and retrain them once ready. I was truly hoping your small ship could do it, but sadly this has shown the industry (cruises, travel, casinos, airlines, entertainment, theatre, conventions, events, etc) is just not ready to restart yet as much as we all desperately want them to. The entire world has to STOP listening to the "open now" crowds and start listening to the "stay home, stay safe" crowds until this GLOBAL pandemic is at least controlled if not cured. Until that happens we will continue to hear about these "new cases" and feign surprise when really most of us are saying......I told you so. Again, sorry guys, and I hope you get home safe, sound and healthy!
