Someone has since pointed out that there is a hole on the ARRMA side guard that gives you access to loosen the grub screw WITHOUT sliding the motor off. Just slide it over and loosen it through that hole. Save a lot of time. LIVE and LEARN.🤜🤛💯🙏🍻✌️

Just got to looking and the esc is 160 amp which is the same as the max6 that I put in my truck so it should be a good pair just need a aluminum aftermarket motor mount and I'd be good to go? Lol

I recently got the exb 8s and my grumb screw wasnt tighten at all as well. How I found out was when somthing knocked the e clip out while bashing.

Yeah pretty common. I actually use red loc-tite. BUT VERY LITTLE. The tiniest little Dab’ll do-ya😁💯🍻

Yea. I ended up doing away with the e clip and use just a touch of red loc-tite. Not too much tho. You still want to get it off later, if wanted.🙏💯🍻

This is just the stock e-clip on the outcast 8s. I believe it’s the 3.2mm💯🍻

That hole on the plastic side skirt is for the grub screw so you don't have to remove the motor

YUP. Someone pointed that out went I first put it up. APPRECIATE IT. That is for the smaller motor. Once you go BIGGER 780,800,1100kv you have to take the motor all the way off to change pinion. Plus the back battery tray and skirt.

My stock pinion was loose also, but on mine the set screw on the pinion was stripped. Also I had to cut a motor mount screw off because it was rounded so bad my hex driver wouldn’t get it out. Bad QC in this truck so far. My buddy had to cut both top motor mount screws off his. Nice video though 👍

THANKS MAN. These are the Duratrax Six Pack X’s. I have the Duratrax Hatchet X’s for the Losi DB XL-E 2.0 and the Duratrax Lock UP X’s for the Xmaxx. LOVE ALL 3. They are belted. You can find them all over. I got mine at RC PLANET and My Tobbies. Bout $100. A little over. Also, they need a mod to fit. They fit the Xmaxx stock. So you will need to drill the hole bigger. I’ve seen that as well. The biggest pinion I put on was a 40t. 40t and UP you will only be able to use 1 of the 2 motor mount screws. And 1 on the bottom as opposed to 2 up top and 1 underneath. I personally only use 1 and 1 with my 39/39 also. But if I do overdrive my spur I do it with the 800kv not the 1100.🙏🙏💯🍻

Absolutely a first for me, seeing a Clip there!! 😲 Thank God it was! LOOSE Grub Screw!!?? That's why I always use Blue Loctite on Grub Screws - whether it asks for it or not. If it ever becomes too tight - just hit the screw with a Lighter for a few seconds, and it softens right up!! 👍👍 SO EXCITED TO SEE THE LITTLE PRINCESS!!!!!👸 Hope Mama is doing well too. 😉

That floating spur gear- shaft- ballbearing setup is weird....everything moves bk n forth abt 1/8".....never seen so much movement in a RC.....and oh yeah my pinion gear had NO loctite on grub screw...came loose and was grinding against metal motor mount .....pft
