Every boss has been updated with different mechanics. Totally different. I’m sad I didn’t get to experience it like this. But it was still a bit challenging. Especially learning it on the fly lol.

@@TomScottDoesStuff The trash is still trash. The bosses , as noted above, are not. I've done this 8-10 times a day, for a whole week, trying to get Bogatyr's for 7 DoW jobs, with Duty Support ( because who else would help that much?), and even the NPC's don't exactly know what's going on in the Einhander fight. My prep was GE (lol). I finally found your vid today, and got optimistic that Keeper of The Lake would make sense at last, but for once, no. It makes me doubly appreciate the rest of your calm, comprehensive, no-nonsense guides, complete as they are with a smattering of dry humour.

Watched three times and think 1 more before I do this. I am a tank and last dungeon I ran had a healer who I really don't know how they made it this far. Took us 7 tries. I'm gonna go into this like a force!

Thank you so much for these guides. Don't know why I never looked at guides in wow or early ffxiv, but it really is crazy to do these dungeons without prep, and unfair to yourself and the group. This is especially true as a tank main.

Well to be fair I think most dungeon bosses in WoW have a single mechanic. But I do agree, I wouldn't dive into anything here without having some prior knowledge simply because I don't think it's fair to the other group members (to assume they are fine with it and could even explain mechanics).

Thank you for making these. Just did this and the chrysalis while leading a friend through MSQ. I may have a max level character, but I made the mistake of buying a story skip sometime around stormblood's release so I haven't a damn clue what the patches hold. Some of the guides are so old it doesn't account for power creep and mechanic tweaks over the years, so sometimes you just look like an idiot trying to do a mechanic everyone ignores (though with all the sprouts now, it's a bit more likely we have to do mechanics lol) Thanks again! You've picked the perfect time to start making these

I hate going into a dungeon unprepared, so these have been my saving grace, and a few times despite it being my first time, I've been the only one in the room who knows the mechanics, so they've gotten me a few sweet, sweet commends too!

my buddy joined FF recently so I played Astro during their first run through of the dungeon, they play Warrior. we wiped once on the last boss because DPS didn't focus the bird with the generator and I couldn't DPS it fast enough. we had good fun clearing the boss without hickups the second attempt right after

Just a heads-up. You mentioned the mob packs on the way to midgardsormr. If you stack together so the gun ship targets the party with the mobs, the mobs will take additional damage from the gunship aoe. It's old content but it does make those mob packs easier/faster to handle. Stack with the tank please :)

So the type of people who look up guides are more likely to be competent players. Giving a tip that they can do on their own to better their chances of survival or some way of saving everyone is fine. A tip that requires your group to coordinate is usually not worth covering because your group can often contain absolute randoms. In this tip you require all players to stack together. You can't coordinate that if your group are all over the place. As I try to make my guides as short as possible while including what I feel is important information, something like this won't make the cut. That of course doesn't mean that there's no point to providing any tips at all though :)

All good boys! It's old content. In the big picture it's not a big deal. The aoe targets a random player so 50/50 if you stand on the tank it will hit the mobs. Not a big deal though. Your video is great.

No worries. The tip is still good, I just didn't include it because... well first of all i didn't think of it to be fair, and secondly it's not that critical in terms of time saving. It's still good when people leave comments like yours because I do peruse comment sections of other guides to look for anything i might have missed when I go to make mine. And of course I can also just completely miss something. You, individually, can stack with the tank for sure though, which is why I said it's a good tip!

Hiya. Ehh probably not. If anything most of these things will continue to get easier. This dungeon can be a bit more challenging than others but that's mostly due to all the things you've got to avoid & that sort of stuff wont really change.

Hi Brent, thanks for the feedback! What do you use to watch these videos? Headphones or speakers or something else? I've found the music can often come out at different volumes depending on the output device - though I will try and keep a better eye on levels overall. This one seemed pretty okay to my ears when compared to my other guides.

Ah right. Yeah I can't really attest to how the audio balances out through speakers as I pretty much use head phones 100% of the time. You may find it easier with headphones but I do try to ensure the music is not too loud. Also I have gotten a proper microphone that I have started using in my most recent videos so I sound a lot clearer in those (compared to videos like this where I have used a headset microphone). Anyway sorry this wasn't so great and hopefully things improve, especially with the new mic 👍
