I have one of these now. My neighbour's cat keeps jumping on my bonnet with tiny stones in its paws and scratching it!!!!! So the only way to protect it is to use a cover... is it safe to put it on when dirty? I do clean and wax most weekends, so it's generally clean. But it feels like cover on a dirty car is safer than cats jumping on it with stones in their feet and scratching into my paint!!!!

Not sure i'd be happy putting the cover on a dirty car. A wet car yes, it's breathable, a dirty car no. Do have a doggo that could help with your cat problem though 😉

@midlifemotors5050 I have a German Shepherd that scares the hell out of them... unfortunately, she can't stand by my car the whole time. I clean and wax it every weekend though, so it only gets a week of driving dirt over a waxed surface. It's either that or stone scratches from the cats 😞

Does the car stay dry in the dampness of the winter? Used covers in the past and always had dampness on roof and such places
@midlifemotors50503 жыл бұрын
It does, the car stays bone dry. The cover has 3 layers allowing it to both breath and be fully waterproof. I do air it every so often when the weather allows, think that helps too.

Does the material itself have any stretch or give? I have a ducktail spoiler, so maybe that extra material at the end (the one you had to tie up) might actually be useful
@midlifemotors50502 жыл бұрын
Is does stretch quite well, yes. But I recon you're probably right the larger size (S3) will probably suit better
@posford Жыл бұрын
Hi.. How do you think it will fit NB ?
@midlifemotors5050 Жыл бұрын
Go for the size S2 and I think you’ll be ok. Although the site suggests an s3 size for an mx5, been there, done that, it’s too big.

What do you do with the straps on the ends of the car? Do you feed them through the wheels? It's hard to tell
@midlifemotors50503 жыл бұрын
Strap at the front goes in front of the front wheels, rear strap to the back of the rear wheels. Means when you pull them tight they grip to the tyres, handy 👍

Thank you for the great video! We just acquired our 2017 Mx-5 RF and are looking to cover it as we have no garage or carport yet. The cover you are demonstrating is the Ulitmate Outdoor car cover from classic additions is it not? Are you still happy with it? Looks like it fits just fine and we appreciate your video. So many choices of covers that it was nice to see one actually go on the beautiful little car we now own.

Thanks. Yes it's the ultimate outdoor cover from classic additions. It's been great. It's a size S3 however classic additions have seen the video too and recon a size S2 will fit even better. It arrived yesterday and I'm going to try it today. Video to follow shortly. Excellent covers though. Enjoy your new car 👍

@@midlifemotors5050 Thank you for the reply! We look forward to your next video with the S2 size. With seemingly hundreds of covers out there to choose from your videos covering the same car that we now have are AWESOME! Have a great day and good luck with the new size. Bunching the S3 size up in the back and putting the zip lock around it didn't seem like that much of an inconvenience but anxious to see how the S2 fits. Have a wonderful day sir!

I have an nd track car with no soft top. So when the hard top is off I have no top. Do you think this cover will keep moisture out of the car if i leave the hard top off over night?
@midlifemotors50502 жыл бұрын
Hi, yeah, recon the cover will be ideal for that. Never any condensation under mine, no matter how cold it gets 👍 Oh, and can I have a go in yours please, sounds ace 👌

Omg. It's a freaking car and the coating is there to protect it. And you can even replace it after some years. This is too much "car-love" for me.
