We installed our exterior light and outlet boxes. It was tricky to find a solution for this old trailer, but I think these old work boxes will work great!
Then we decided it was time to paint the ceilings.

For me a porch on the front is nice for sitting on in the morning and evening. Nice to have plants and your children and grandchildren sitting with you while you tell them stories about Gods word and the times He’s been so faithful.

The front is close to the road and is directly across from the house on the other side of the road. No privacy at all. A better place to sit would be out back.

That was so therapeutic I bought a spray gun but I’m a coward and still use the roller Looks so good and definitely much brighter which in turn make it look bigger

It's only really a concern if you are sanding the paint or breathing it in in some way. So you don't have to worry too much in normal situations.

Really well done. The fins on old work boxes cut straight through drywall and hold the exact position you have selected for the box. This is why they don't "quite" fit the round holes one drills for them. I agree with your orientation of them and the extra security of the butyl tape.

Looking after it's all done you may not be able to tell the difference between Before and After. I'm sure you noticed when editing the video you saw the change. It almost looked like a Gray colour on the ceiling. I think it looks Striking. But not shiny. Great work Guys👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸 Happy 4th

We did high gloss white on the ceilings to make them feel and look taller than they are. It creates an illusion with your wall color. The high gloss works like a mirror in that your wall paint will be reflected on your ceiling giving it the idea that your walls are taller. Its a beautiful effect!!!

... and helps brighten the room it's reflective! I made the mistake of painting over my semi-gloss ceilings with flat white and realized how much better it was before. Glad they went with satin.

The ceiling will be easy to clean or wipe down. Matte paint shows all water drops, spill and sprays and isn't easy to clean or wipe down. Looks really good! I tried to use paint sprayer last time and I was covered in paint. LOL

Wow! Yes, it's definitely brighter -- a lot brighter. This is beginning to look like a brand new mobile home build. You guys should be so proud of yourselves. Btw, as I watched and waited for the saw to come through the blue part of the trailer all I could feel was a sense of trepidation, even though I knew it was for a light and it would ultimately be just fine. They have mentioned that they do not plan to live in it or rent it. They are keeping it as an investment or possibly for guests. They live in an old site-built house which they are almost done renovating.

Sometimes after spraying a ceiling you have somebody go along with you with some wet paint on a roller just a little bit and you back roll it

One of the first things we did when we moved into this house 54 years ago was remove the ceiling battens and here you are putting them up. Everything old is new again as the saying goes.

When I did the ceilings of my older mobile home, I used flat to begin with and then repainted with satin. There was some water damage to cover up and the flat didn't cover it as well as I hoped. The satin seems to be the ticket. They look great.

I love it and yes, it looks very much lighter and so clean and tidy. I love the eggshell finish as it is wipeable. Flat paint always scratches or if wiped off it does it can take off some paint which looks very tacky. Cleaning homes we've had to wipe all the walls in homes for painters to come in and do their work and have done tons of flat painted walls. It's not on any walls in my home. LOL Egg shell finish is my preference for any room, kitchen and bathrooms included in that choice. I am loving the looks of that ceiling texture wood type finish. I was thinking you might do a beam down the center of the whole home but it will be interesting to see what you do. Everything looks terrific. Happy 4th of July.

Next time, to enlarge a round hole, nest the two holesaws together. i.e. if you want to go from 2" to 2-1/2" nest the 2" inside the 2-1/2". The drill bit arbor will allow this and it works great.

That hole saw was a Snaplock hole saw and they can't be stacked like that. But I do get what you mean.
