Great video, as always. Thanks, Colin. You don't need a hammer for the tent pegs. Next time, use the back of your axe. That's what the flat bit is for 😉

Campsite charging for showers: so long as it’s a reasonable charge (a 10.5 kW shower still uses less than 1KwH in 5 minutes, so less than 1 unit - which for a domestic user is around 25p) that’s fine. I do appreciate that commercial users such as businesses and camp sites don’t benefit from the domestic tariff cap, so they may be paying considerably more for their power - plus standing charges etc. £1 for 5 minutes would be my limit. We have a caravan with a separate shower, so my wife tends to shower in the van and I go use the site facilities if it’s not raining. Does this site meter van electric hook up usage, as the hot water in our van would be heated by the hook up in our case? Great video as always, but Colin - that leg hair on several occasions on your bike was a bit “wild” - you may want to consider a content warning at the start! 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Col, really enjoy your videos, like you I enjoy the nights away on my own for some chill out time although I feel a little bit guilty on the family, but they’re not as bothered about getting out as often as I am, always try and get a ride in road or EMTB and definitely have to be near a quiet pub. Keep the videos coming. Cheers 🍻

Just catching up on the latest installment now... and hold the phone! Never mind about charging for showers... what's 'appened t' Snack Noodle Colin!? Waitrose carrier bag for your sweaty bike gear! 😮 You've changed! 😂😂😂 Great video as always mate! And I'd happily pay a pound...if it was reflected in the overall price, which at 22 quid seems quite reasonable.

Great video Col. nice camp site like you say. We use the pop top all winter with the cover & it works fine & cozy. Other than in the wind here on the Irish Atlantic coast. We have the California coast & use the leisure batteries if only for a couple of nights. Works okay. You seem to have a great deal of power from those units you have. Every campsite in Ireland charges for showers 1 or 2 euros. Shower rooms always freezing😂
@ianjefferson66877 ай бұрын
Depends on the price of the campsite.

Me and the good lady stayed in a cottage at castle Howard last August for a fortnight and visited many places in the surrounding area and visited Malton plus the place you cycled through with the wee cafes. Fab area. Doesn’t bother me paying a quid for a shower, looked a decent size. On the other point, since you like a bit of Floyd, if you haven’t listened to David Gilmore live in Gdańsk it’s a must. High Hopes, comfortably numb and Wish you were here are fabulous. Looking forward to next week’s antics.

Sorry Colin don't agree with the extra charge for the showers as most sites now are expensive enough, it should be in with your pitch price💰💰

Hi Colin, perfect type of site for us. I’ve been looking for your vlog where you mentioned what you’d used to rejuvenate the exterior black plastic trim on the van. Can you point me to the vid or tell me what you did please? Everything I’ve tried gets marked with rain and only lasts a few washes. Thanks.
@Yorkshirepoptopadventures7 ай бұрын
Hiya, I used Forever Black, it does need re coating every 6 to 9 months though, but it has served me well... Just make sure you follow the instructions and you will be impressed :)

@portvalemjb7 ай бұрын
Don’t put your tent pegs through your mat there are little plastic clips that attach to mat then peg through them. Camp site looks great and I don’t mind paying for a shower but it would cost me a £5 😂

Great video, out of interest how much power does your microwave take out of the ecoflow col. ?
@Yorkshirepoptopadventures7 ай бұрын
Thanks buddy, not that much I will be honest. Its an 800w microwave and is only on for a few minutes at a time. Just find a lower wattage Microwave and you will be reet :)

I wouldn't be happy to pay for a shower mate campsites are charging too much now to stay a night even in low season may i say getting greedy....I have a solar shower from decath and a utility/toilet tent only good in the summer though you can add a kettle of boiling water if its too cold...nice vlogs mate...

Aye up Colin whats the make of that little low table you were using please?!
@theonlywoody2shoes7 ай бұрын
Looks very similar to the Go Outdoors, Hi-Gear branded storage table we use. It’s £55 from Go Outdoors if you have their annual membership, which only costs £5. Full price is £75, so you can still save £15 by buying the membership. It’s really sturdy, we keep our 12v Dometic 40L fridge on ours. The adjustable legs means it’s always level, and the storage net below is useful for stuff you want up off the floor.

It doesnt have a brand on it, I bought it from the Caravan and Camping Show in Harrogate otherwise I would have provided a link... I will see if I can find a similar one if not the same and post a link when I do :)

I've bought 2 of those fire pits 1 for my forest school and one for my van. I was wondering how they hold up in the long term?
@Yorkshirepoptopadventures7 ай бұрын
They are great, I use mine all of the time and do go throguh them a lot. I have had about 4 in the last year. But occasional use should last you a while.

Hi wouldn’t mind paying for The shower but I don’t like the push button ones. What solar panels do you use for the eco flow delta 2.
@Yorkshirepoptopadventures7 ай бұрын
Yeah I am the same... The pannels I use for the EcoFlow are the Ecoflow pannels (there are a few different ones with different wattages on their site or Amazon) - Plus the pannels on my roof which are just cheap Amazon ones that cost about £100 for the pair :) Hope that helps
