WOW! That is one wicked cool upgrade!! Stores your stuff/bikes, then turns into an awesome kitchen in less than 2 minutes. Only 58 lbs? Not bad at all!! Definitely gotta do the maple shelves too. Installation is "slide on to your hitch" and secure. Very cool stuff Cass!! Never been a big camping fan and yes, I've gone. My version of camping now is Fairfield Inn. Haha. Something like this...could help sway my camping opinion.

Pretty kewl concept…I think they would have to get the weight down as you will need to take off to access the Basecamp door or just an SUV back door. Their competition have a swivel to get the rack off to the side. I know this can be used for more: Bikes, wheel chair (?), totes, grill set up, generator, scooter (?), etc. The price needs to be $999.00. I would also use a composite as cutting boards/shelves. Wood is maintenance and wont last or look good long.

I love the spacing between the bike trays. That makes a big difference. On our current e-bike rack, our two bikes bang into each other the entire time.

I ve also seen this in other campervan/schoolbus video''s, I''m amazed that you are allowed to cover your taillights and licenceplate of your rig. In my part of the world you should have an extra device with taillights and license plate at the back of the rack. (""useful""😢😢😢 for speedcamera's) But very nice to have an outdoor kitchen!!!

This is a brand new product, so a bit different then ones you may have seen before. This one doesn't hide the tail lights so I would think it's okay in that case.

What a nice surprise to see you wearing something other than the all black, winter clothes lol. I'd say at 58 lbs, that new rack is very heavy and cumbersome for one person to handle. If it were me, I'd have to leave it till the end of the trip which may not be a big deal for many. It would definitely be in the way if on the truck camper I used to own as it would block my way into and out of the camper. It will be interesting to see how you install and use it on your camper. I suppose it could be a step if it sat low enough but then it would not be a good height for cooking.

Nice setup. I also like that shade at the rear of your Basecamp. Where did you get it? How does it attach to our Basecamp? We also looked at MoonShade to mount over the side door of our 2022 Basecamp 20X.

I would think a front hitch would be a great location on the truck camper for this. No stepping over it getting in or out of the camper. I do like the multi function of it.

1. The totes seem to be the perfect size for that "platform ". Can you provide either dimensions of the platform, dimensions of the totes, or brand and model of the totes shown? 2. Does the device drops or swings out like some bike racks to allow the opening of an SUVs tailgate?

It doesn't swing out, it just slides into the hitch. Everything is a bit chaotic in the garage right now as I renovate the truck camper but will try to get measurements out at some point!

While traveling, the added weight of the utility bumper and extras (bicycle) will have the effect of lowering the tongue weight on your trailer hitch (rotational moment around your trailer's axle). Just a thought about safety!

Absolutely! It's a great item to point out and Ira mentioned it about half way through the video. It's very important to keep the tongue weight vs. rear at proper ratios for proper towing.
