When I was a kid my Dad went in the backyard with a hacksaw, grinder, some hinges and other assorted hardware and a 50 gallon oil drum. A few hours later he was barbecuing chicken and grilling hamburgers. Over the years his oil drum grill was the main attraction at a lot of family get togethers. Dave, if my Dad was alive today he'd be your biggest fan.

I went to Costa Rica with Brooke and we made hand-made tortillas on similar kind of flat big top. That farm made the best home grown and fresh hand ground coffee ive ever put to my lips. Tell Brooke to bring the tortilla dough and salsa her next trip up to the UP cabin. Gotta break that in properly on a Taco Tuesday. Eveyday is taco Tuesday in my house. Maybe see what porcupine tacos taste like. 😂 salsa and sour cream, guac...probably all tastes good!

Great reuse! When we moved to our farm we found an old grill. A pack rat had even moved in! We took it to a car wash and cleaned it up and back home we sanded and painted with high heat stove paint. Got a new piece of glass, took out the propane fixtures and put in a cover for the bottom and we had a great grill! Lol the wood on the handles and side boards are growing lichen now but it's been 18 years worth of great steaks! Lol And only really cost us a couple of dollars to restore. I guess I could replace the wood side boards and handle and maybe get another 18 years out of it!!😂
