the fear of snakes in the south is completely irrational. all the hillbillies were terrified of snakes and had conspiracy theories about how rattlesnakes would breed with black snakes to make super predators - none of it made any sense. i was from the north and didn't worry about snakes at all -- i would walk through the weeds barefoot in shorts and people would think i was crazy. i've been stung by hornets a few times but i've never even been threatened by a snake. they're like black bears (hey guys who quit Alone on the first day!) -- they just want to get away

Is that garage doors on the side? $100 says the old owner was a builder or alike who salvaged leftover material to build this.

If you run out of wood, you can use animal feces as fuel.

Ollie's has lights that are similar and only $10 for 3500 lumens. And you can chain up to 4 of them together.

Back in the 90's my mom inherited her mother's trailer, so she bought land like you have and put it there. Eventually a front porch was added and years later the entire trailer was enclosed. A huge septic tank was installed. As my folks got older it just became a hunting camp and a few years ago was given to my stepbrother for all the help he did for them as an auto mechanic.

Man I started with your off grid cabin videos and then lost track of your channel, I couldn't remember the name, I wasn't subscribed, and even searching my history I still couldn't find your channel, and out of the blue KZbin recommends this video on a video game channel of all things! I won't make the same mistake twice as I've subscribed so now I can show everyone that KZbin channel of "The dude building a cabin" I saw over a year ago! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing your future content!

Im not trying to poop on your cake, but you didn't use treated lumber for earth/wood contact for posts? At least treat them or burn the bottoms off yourself... if not they will start to rot in 10 years or less.😮

I like this kind of stuff but saying ‘anyone can build and afford’ is disingenuous since a person needs LAND to build cabins on and that shitz ain’t cheap!

Balsa Wood is great for model planes: Its outstanding strength-to-weight ratio enables hobbyists to construct durable models that fly in a totally realistic manner. Balsa also absorbs shock and vibration well and can be easily cut, shaped, and glued with simple hand tools. ❤

Got a 2007 F-150 Bought it 8 years ago for 6K. 5 speed, 6cyl, 2wd (bummer) short bed pretty stripped down. Had 93K on it when I got it came up from Tn (I am in MA) body was perfect when I got it except for 1 small dent. Still running runs VG. Haven't put much into it, battery, ty rod, ball joints, tires only got 145K on it now don't drive it much since I retired. Great little truck wish it was 4wd

This is what you should do tear down the whole house in the spring rebuild it during the summer when you have enough money to rebuild it rebuild it however you want do you want a bigger house or smaller house and make sure it can run off of generators make sure you have a nuclear bunker underneath the house just in case
@OfficialLordJynxyКүн бұрын
I would’ve just tore down the whole thing and rebuild it from scratch. Meaning you can rebuild it however you want do you want a bigger you can build a bigger you want it smaller you can build it smaller and you can build it right without any shortcuts.

Rot is why you don't put the vapor barrier on the outside. It might be cheaper to demolish the whole thing and start over.

In these days of AI-generated *everything* and it being hard to tell sometimes what's real and what's fake- your videos, your music, you awesome attitude of just TRY everything and do everything, is so REAL and refreshing! I love your channel, I love the attitude about life you have- just great stuff! Thanks for sharing it all with us. I always loved the music in your videos, never realized it was yours. I should have KNOWN right off, if there's ONE person who's 8*probably** going to be doing everything himself, not hiring out to others, it's gonna be Dave!
