hey, my mum wants to buy a tortoise. How big should be the enclosure. She will be outside with us all the time and she will be small (7cm-10cm, not sure about inches :Dd) . I am trying to do a reasearch :))

I would suggest the measurements should be around 10x the tortoise's length, 5x the tortoise's width and 3x higher then the tortoise's length. But the bigger the better!

@@adelhorakova4819 It's best if you can provide it with an outdoor run or enclosure since it's beneficial for them to have direct sunlight but you can recreate their habitat indoors using lamps!

I have a baby sulcata and i let it free outside in my back yard all day i dont like having it just in one place just let them be free

Sayeg Blanquet I do free range my tortoises as much as I can. Watson was free ranging for half of the video, that's why she only shows up later.

LPSPaperNPen I recommend that you pick the species that will suit you the best, for example: if you have a big backyard, a sulcata would be an awesome addition, but if you live in an apartment I would suggest getting a Greek or a Russian tortoise. When you finally decide what species you are planning on getting, I highly recommend that you do a lot of research on their care needs and diet as well as how big of a terrarium they will need. Don't forget about the lighting: it's important to provide a heat source and UVB lighting. That's all The advice I can think of right now. Good luck.

I let my three tortoises go yesterday back in the wild. I had Indian flap shell tortoise. They are cutest pets I've ever seen

What are you using as the substrate for this enclosure? Does the sulcata try and eat it?

I used Top soil and the tortoises do not attempt eating it
