Could we get in contact I can’t take my tortoise to a vet ment for exotic animals and I think he’s really sick his eyes are vert swollen and he barely moves he won’t eat so my mom suggested force feeding him I don’t know what to do for him anymore

I have the same problem. Mine is 40 years old and has also swollen legs and skin because of uriatic acid or simple dehydration. The vet suggested everyday soaking in water, keep her in chilled temperature and if she doesn't recover we have to do blood test. I hope the best for both of our friends

I feel bad for my cousins turtle because he is 6 and he doesn’t know how to take care of her so he thinks it’s a toy so i Gould him to give it to me so I can check on her but her shell was scratched and he colored her I actually cried that time because her house was a mess! I found a nail and lot of dead lettuce and ants but now she is with me for 6 months and she’s actually better she used to hide when ever someone or something move next to her but now she’s actually playful and not so scared anymore accept she does drag her feet sometimes I want to know what’s the problem but there is no vets that know how to take care of turtles or sell any turtle care stuff on my town :( but your videos actually helps a lot because my turtles are actually more joyful then ever when I started to take advices from you thank you very much!

I have a baby greek tortoise. I got him Uvb-Uva light. I give him calsium and stuff. I have 60 w solar seramic light too but i don’t know how many hours should i keep it open

Their day cycle should be around 10-12 hours so keep it on during the day and turn it off at night.

My hermann totoise will not stay in his box or under his light ? He sleeps on the rug i cover it over him.?if in the box he judt constantly scratches often falling over . Feel its safer to just let him have run of lounge. When cold he goes sits by the radiator. He hates his box it has space and a uv light. Just hates it. When it was hot he was out side lots but colder now. He very determined about whete he wants to he . His name is el torro (the bull) he pushes anything he can out his way. We adore him xx

Hi! I have a question. So I have a Hermann tortoise that is about 4 years old, and today I noticed she has a little scab on the top of her neck. I am unsure what it is from, but I think it could be from her neck hitting that top part of her shell. So with the scab should I take her to the vet, or should I just let her heal on her own?

See if she can heal on her own. It doesn’t seem to be serious. If it won’t heal then it’s best to take her to the vet.

My marginated tortoise fell out the box (abt 16 feet) yesterday, he’s just only 5 months years old and im really worried rn, he shows absolutely no outside injuries, but im afraid of internal injuries. Today he showed nothing bad, he ate and active like previous days. What should i keep monitoring? I hope you can help me, i appreciate that much 😢

You should keep an eye on him. See if he still eats and poops normally. If no weird behaviour shows through then you should be good. You can always take him to the vet to get an x-ray. Hope this helps!

As I said in the video, make sure it’s hydrated and in the correct temperature range. If it still won’t eat I highly suggest you take it to an exotic’s vet. I hope this helps
