I just bought a 2011 Tundra SRV TRD package with the 4.6 it has 284.000 MLS. The body and interior are in phenomenal shape and the 1st owner kept impeccable maintenance on it. I trust Toyota so much I passed up Dodge's and Fords with half the mileage. The 4.6 has that timing chain and pretty good gas mileage while still delivering 310 hp and a tow capacity of 10,400 lbs. I fully expect this to be my last vehicle at 61 yrs old. I love the truck so much I'll drop another engine in it before I buy another truck.

personal opinion but I just got a 2010 5.7 in October, had this limp mode problem with the air injection pump. where I live, no inspection every year so I got a bypass kit for 500$ also I kind of like the old school 2uz-fe thought I don't have any issues with the 5.7.

We just bought a used 2015 Toyota Tundra Double Cab 5.7L TRD Off Road 4x4 ! First thing to do is toss the deteriorating O.E.M. Toyota bed liner and get a spray on Rhino Liner. Second, clean the rust underneath and spray on some Fluid Film corrosion inhibitor. Then a good set of All-Terrain tires. So far driven it 1000 miles and love it! 😊

Another great video! Bought my 18 Tundra last year after being more of a 4Runner guy and wish I had bought a Tundra 15 years ago. I went straight to 37s too because anything this big should have 37s! They're small BFG 37s though. 2.5" lift and they clear everything but sway bar when turning very hard left or right. But rubbing is racing

@frankpenick68044 ай бұрын
@JsaephanhMienMusic with the +35 Methods they rub the sway bar at full lock. I should ditch the sway bar but haven't gotten around to it. I hit the body mounts with the grinder also but a couple of trips and the only rubbing I had with the rear wheel well liners. The tires just touch when fully stuffed.

@@OutdoorAutofront and rear bumpers
@ktnstuartАй бұрын
@@revpix2284it depends on what your after. Off-road manufactures like CBI and RCI do have bed racks and sliders but not 2013 fitment for front and rear bumpers. So there are manufacturers that make aftermarket bumpers but be wary of the quality if say you were expecting reliable recovery point quality. Many of the aftermarket bumpers are made of very thin metal. But if aesthetics are what’s important I’m sure there are many options out there.

Another very educational video, professionally done as a lot of your videos are!! Thank you!! I have a 2019 Tundra CM and it already had a toytec leveling kit installed, rear air bags, and 1.5” wheel spacers with factory 18” wheels. I’ve ran 35x12.5 Grapplers for the last 4 years. I just recently purchased a set of Method MR312 17” wheels that have a Zero offset. The part I’m unsure of is whether or not I’ll have any rubbing issues when running the new wheels on 35x12.5’s.. 🤷🏽♂️. I’m glad I’ll no longer be using the wheel spacers but I’m just curious if you foresee any rubbing issues from this swap? Thanks again and keep up the great content!!

I have a 2021, last year of the 5.7L and I love it. But one semi-wide spread problem which never reached recall status and was never fully address is the cam tower oil leak. Massively expensive and complicated repair, but you can let that oil weap for a very long time before it becomes a real problem. Still annoys me that Toyota never really acknowledged the problem as they never made any design updates to prevent this failure.
