Hey there, don't knock those pizzas Randy. For less than a buck apiece on sale, those Totino's frozen pizzas are an easy treat for old bachelors like me! Two pizzas, two beers, and I'm ready for a snooze. The thing about mushrooms is you can saute them a little in olive oil, garlic and shallots and then add them to the toppings on your pizza.

Great video as always; really makes me want to visit Olympic national park as soon as circumstance allows. Lobster mushrooms are really interesting; you probably already know this but technically they are a fungal parasite that grows only on specific edible mushrooms like Russulas (and in the process making them delicious 😋) - you can see the red outer layer really clearly when Taku slices into it. Finally, I don't think Jocelyn gets as much credit as she deserves for her great camera work and her bush craft skills; drying out the wet wood on the grill was a pro move 👍

Jocelyn's mushroom and clam finding skills remind me of the first time I went diving for Dungeness up at Mukilteo. I was diving with a friend who'd dived for crabs before and Dungeness usually bury themselves in the sand so my friend would just go up to a patch of sand and pull a crab out and I couldn't figure out how he was finding them. So he gestured for me to look real close at one spot he was pointing at. I still didn't see any "crab sign" and looked at him in confusion, so he gestured for me to get closer and mimicked eyestalks on his head and suddenly I saw the eyestalks and the mouthparts. Then I looked around and realized we were surrounded by crabs. lol

I love that area and that dish. 34 years ago I made a fancy meal for my girl friend and she was so impressed she married me too. Now she is a cooking expert, inspired by the one she loves and the need to feed 7 kids. Aged 33 to 13. You should move there. My mom just moved from San Juan Capistrano to near Sequim, WA. Near where my uncle has a house where a cut throat trout stream runs along his property. Small town, but there's Costco.

Back in the 70'S my grandfather had to give up his avocado and orange groves in Placentia, CA for a freeway. He moved 5 kids to Port Townsend, WA. Into an old Victorian house across the street from the Starrett house. It was a family house with kids that I played with back then. It is on search engines. He built the biggest hydroponic hot house ever in WA state. You don't need that. Your beloved could make something much smaller. On another food note, my Grandfather took care of Frank Herbert's home in Port Townsend, WA. He had a duck pond instead of a pool. Defeather machines, he loved duck. The author of the Dune book and movie series. Yeah, so many links to so many things, don't you love it?
