I received a message online from a Lady who needed her yard mowed. She mentioned she just bought the house and someone left a lawnmower but it’s chained to the deck so she wanted someone to clean up the overgrown grass. Once we showed up, we could not believe the weeds hanging over the sidewalk and driveway. We spent a lot of time edging sidewalks, cleaning the driveway and cutting the lawn. Wait until you see the reveal and her response. She mentioned she has the nicest yard in the neighborhood!

The last yard I did before my back injury, I used 3 edger blades. The grass was covering most of the sidewalk and driveway. And she had a corner lot. That means only one thing, more grass. But she was so happy that the next day she invited all of us to here house warming party. Her family bought everything food wise. And me and my helper were so happy.

👍👍have ever thought about edging first and throwing that stuff on the lawn. Then when you mow it will be integrated back into grass and yard. No disposal needed. So much more efficient. Great job on the ladies yard

Love what you do! I am a little shocked that the able bodied people you help don't jump in lend a hand, especially when it's a new home owner. I have had my house for 7 years now and look forward to cutting my grass. I have to use a lawn tractor because of my back and stretch out my yard work as I can handle it but it's something I enjoy and love helping the neighbors if I am able. I may be walking hunched over for days afterward but it is important to keep moving when possible or it will only get worse. Even sitting too long is painful.

First walk the yard and pick up all the trash if any. Then pick up all the branches and twigs that might hurt the mower. I never did, that's why my deck is broken. Then to edge the whole yard and the driveway and sidewalks. Then to trim it all out, then to use the mower to cut all the grass and cut up what we trimmed out and edged. And then to blow everything spotless clean. Great job Erik. We know how to help people in need.

Great job! At least you’re smart enough to mow along the edges first, then edge along the driveway and sidewalks, saving time and wear and tear on your equipment. So many professionals don’t do this and they try to edge through grass that’s a foot tall. It’s ridiculous. You definitely needed a wheelbarrow or cart to haul away all that sidewalk debris. 17:11 That appears to be a Kentucky Coffee Tree. Could be a shrub, though. She can buy a bolt cutter at Lowe’s or Home Depot and cut the lock off that lawnmower. Or, if she knows a police officer, they oftentimes have bolt cutters in their cruisers. They’d probably help her out and she would not have to buy one. I’m sure one of her top projects will be to remove and replace the driveway.

There is so much more room on the sidewalks now and it looks so nice. You did great mowing around that tree with the very low limbs. @@OutdoorswithErik I can tell that it is hard work. But, you get to do the work and be proud of the results when finished. I just get to kick back and enjoy it all. When I was able to do the yard work, I loved using the weedeater the best. I have never edged anything before. I tried to keep my yard neat and tidy. Now I just have to be happy to find someone to mow. Heaven forbid you would ask them to help with anything else. I just deal with it because I can't afford to pay to have it done. They use my equipment to mow. I will just be happy it is mowed and silently pray someone will come get this crazy stuff out of my yard.

Good job doing a good deed. She has a very big iris bed. Those iris can go for as much as 6 bucks a plant, so you are looking at several hundred dollars worth of iris. The sidewalk and curb has to be the best in her neighborhood. Bravo.
