Hi Mike and Melissa. Watching you guys split wood makes me wonder how you got to this point. What was your beginning like? Maybe a wedding photo or two. What did you start with? Also, You might not want to share ALL the goodies you might have in your 1100lb gun safe, but maybe select a few favorites and have a range day with family that would enjoy that sort of thing. Just some ideas...

Hey Mike Melissa and EVA, good to see everyone involved with the chores at hand. Liked everything going on in the video for sure. I think you are right with the culvert across the drive and a ditch or drain going down to another culvert. Depending on the mower whether you have to split the yard into two cuts or if you can cut right thru the ditch??? I know you'll have it all worked out before cutting the roads for the culvert. I really liked seeing the water coming out of the hill and how it cut that hole thru the sandrock. Seen a great deal of that and how they fed or worked it from the banks and built cold cellars inside their buildings YEARS ago. Have a great time at the JEEP festival . Tell Hunter HI and Eva have a food summer too.

I tried to locate about 30 bales of straw here in the Bedford PA area about 2 or 3 weeks ago and no-one has any. I checked with the area farms and the farm bureau and was told that there is none available in this area and they have been trying to locate some too.

Hey Mike, had 2 1/4" rain up here Saturday evening, and got another 3.3" today which I'm told all fell in about 45 minutes. Kinda just waiting now for the water to subside so I can assess how much damage was done. I have a crick that runs through my property that varies from 10 to 30 ft wide that I have never seen so high in my 47 years. The power of water is incredible. Melissa, you looked like you might have been a bit tired when you were splitting wood, must have had too many hours in the gym. That's ok, you were still smiling at the end.

Mike - it's quite enjoyable to see you and Melissa spending time together - working together. That's a sign of a good marriage. Was wondering if you have any sycamore trees on your place - if you've tried splitting sycamore with the Wolf Ridge. I have/had a pretty good pile of seasoned sycamore and some of it was like splitting concrete. Way more difficult than the maple and Russian Olive wood I have. I don't get much chance to watch your videos on week nights, so my wife and I watch them on the weekends during lunch and supper. We sure enjoy what you do. Thank you for that.

I lost one of my keeper pins on my box blade shortly after buying it, but didn't lose the large pin. So that it wouldn't happen again, I swapped out all the keeper pins with ones about 2-3 sizes larger. No problem since then.

Hey Mike, might I suggest when you Gulley that yard, dig the bottom out as wide as the bucket is flat. We got a ditch like that and water flows nice, grass cutting is so easy... 2 gentle slopped banks the mower can ride horizontal on and a flat bottom as wide as the cutting deck on mower. Not having to hassle/finesse the mower around or weed eat a U shaped bottom in the ditch.... 60 inch cutting deck? Use a 60 inch bucket to form the ditch bottom. My opinion, so many folks make mistakes with narrow ditches through a yard.👍

Rip rap rocks are round so the water will run over it much better than the flat sand stone which will tumble and roll down the ditch. Maybe you do this later but we angle the box blade and crown the middle and it keeps the water running along the outside limiting the rock from washing away. Also try pinning your rippers upside down when you don't want to use them. They are out of the way and they stay with the box.

Thanks guys, another excellent presentation btw. I too hit the like button B4 watching! Loving that box blade Mike... The power of water, it never fails to amaze me! Looks like a good charge of split firewood. I see Eva & the dogs were on hand today in a advisory capacity? Lol. Speaking of firewood, due to all my other projects, i.e., distractions, today is the day to finally get started on blocking up my firewood logs down in the lower field. I will be using my new 16" Acc-U -Mark that arrived in (2) days last week! ( I'm a full month behind schedule! )... Hi, I don't know if this would help or hinder your log production process but my log supplier in the UK delivers my split logs in FIBC bulk bags made out of tough Woven Polypropylene (WPP) fabric. I suspect one of these may fit under the discharge of your splitting machine. Not the same quality as your IBC solution but allows my supplier to drop off the logs without needing to pick up the bag afterwards. Cheers ..

I bought a used box blade years ago from a private individual. He said his 85 hp international farm tractor didn't handle it well and he couldn't use it. I have a 60 hp kubota 4wd which is the same class as your RK55 and am thinking this box blade is probably way too big for my tractor but the price was right, so went with truck and trailer to go look at it. He brings this box blade out from behind the barn on this utility size 2 wheel drive farm tractor with no loader or front counter weights and the front wheels are bouncing off the ground and the rear tires are squatting! Oh my,what am I going to do with this monstrosity! The box blade is 8' wide with hydraulic ripper teeth and is in like new condition and best of all less than half the price of a new one! I bought it any way thinking I could easily sell it for a profit. I get it home and mount it on the kubota to see if I could even pick it up. I was shocked that the kubota handled the box scraper with no problem and have used it many times to finish grade lawns. It's amazing how capable these " little " compact tractors are! A little advice to first time buyers of tractors, if you plan on using it for grading, or garden plowing and such, have your dealer install Draft Control. When in soft ground some 3 point attachments want to head for China and you have to try and control your lift arms to keep the implement level. Draft control will do this for you!

I was going ask the same question but I do see at less ways to set everything up so as carry the logs less move the fire wood faster even with the Wolfe Ridge Conveyor and cut more fire wood faster but that me! I not even this will any sense and so I not sure how to put into word other than keep moving things looking for the shortest points from A to B than the fastest way to do the same thing over and over until all you do is split wood! I hope that helps him! I wish I could send him a map of my ideas!
