It always killed me how weak the Senshi attacks were. Especially the Inner ones. The Outer ones are literally planet sized energy and they never kill single enemies. Sailor Moon always has to finish them off.

Why do they want to prevent Sailor Saturn from awakening? (The the many episodes episodes of the sailor moon 90s series that I have seen were viewed out of order with some or more of them skiped. And not in a SINGLE one of has sailor Saturn been present or mentioned)

It's been a long time, so I might not remember it exactly, but they believed that if she awakened, she would destroy the world. It's also complicated by the fact that at this point in the story, Hotaru is also the host of Mistress 9 (aka the Messiah of Silence) that (in visions Uranus and Neptune had) was also responsible of destroying the world.
