Brother is on point...! He knows what he's talking about, even the areas where brackets and parts are missing from the previous "technician". If you're looking for a step-by-step guide to get you through this complicated maintenance action, you need to watch this and have it handy as you're doing it yourself. I had my phone propped up and went right along with him as he did it. If you follow everything he says, you CANNOT mess this up. The only thing I did differently is regarding the bracket over the most rear coil on the driver's side. I was able to remove the coil pretty easily without removing the bracket. Good job Sir...

This is one of the best videos I have seen tackling this project. The sound and video quality were great. Not too much BS during the actual work and showing the removal of all screws, etc. (but I liked that you showed each coil as a couple had variation). I also liked that you left in the bad parts (missing parts, dropped bolts, etc). I would recommend cleaning the internal part of the throttle body as well. Thanks! I'm going to do this one today!

I recently replaced the plugs in my 2018 GC at 100,000 miles, with much guidance from this video. It might seem overwhelming if you just watch the video and think you'd be better off selling it than trying to change the spark plugs but if you take it one step at a time the process isn't too difficult. It took me many hours of going slowly and a couple of refresher breaks but I did it and saved hundreds of dollars off the $700 dealer quote, including new plugs, PCV valve and manifold gaskets. Although not shown in the video, it is much easier to replace the PCV valve while the intake manifold is off and out of the way.

Hear hear - this is a must-see for anyone deciding whether to tackle changing the sparks in their 3.6 Pentastar-equipped Grand Cherokee. This is not a simple job - I would have been lost without this. Austin, if I could make a request for a future video: A how-to on swapping out the variable valve lift solenoids on a 3.6 Pentastar. They sit on top of the cylinders - it's job you could do after stripping down the engine the same way you did for the spark plugs. But the connectors on those are tricky and advice on how to diagnose problems and get those out without causing damage would be much appreciated.

Followed directions but had a heavy hand. while disconnecting the breather tube going to the back of the engine, I pulled it a bit too fat and cracked the PCV valve. After putting the parts back together and going on a road test The service engine light came back on, then the warning light for the traction control flashed red! I found that driving back to the garage the vehicle went into "LIMP MODE", causing me to drive back at 35 MPH with the pedal to the floor! Had a bunch of diagnostics codes pop up! The main one was a vacuum leak! Since we did NOT change the rings on the intake - we assumed that was the cause. We took the entire thing back down, changed out the rings, torqued the manifold to 74-inch pounds, and still had the same issues. Finally found a tiny crack in the PCV valve. We replaced the valve, cleared the codes, and the 3.6 was running smoothly! Be really careful when pulling on the PCV TUBE because the valve is all lightweight plastic! LESSON LEARNED!

@@OutJeeping dang I need to check the oil but yeah the steering wheel shakes( not too rough ) and the engine too for a good 2-5 seconds after turning on. Then smoothes out. Might go to AutoZone to check the engine light. But just wanted to hear your thoughts first.
@OutJeeping5 ай бұрын
@swimers100 Well it's a common issue that they all do. Even with the oil at normal level. The engine design allows oil passages to drain back into the pan. So the first couple of seconds is the delay in the oil getting pumped back to the top end of the engine.
