Those small timing cover bolts are spec's to 5ft lb, which is ludicrously loose. I just did a lot of maintenance on my 20 year old TJ and I could have spun them out by hand, I'm surprised they DIDN'T just fall out like those on yours.

I know this is old but is there a part number for the little black piece that you changed out that keep the fluid in?

My shaft isnt solid its 2piece shaft, is the work done here the same? How come mine has a half shaft?

I just got a 2007 jk today, and this same switch is in my jeep. I'm not sure if it's a bypass, or they did it cuz its the only way the fan will run. How can I tell for sure?

You should have also wired it into a timed relay so that you can turn it on when you shut the car off you won’t have any heat soak issues.

Just did this on my sisters in laws and it was a lot more work than I thought! I had to remove part of that liner and radiator reservoir. My hand was too big to fit from under it to the bulb housing. So had to use a finger from the bottom and one from the top to turn it loosen the bulb.

I got the flag nut brackets comming Saturday from amerzone for 16.00

One major problem is that it should've been a crossflow head, and thicker deck. If you look at the radiator from the bottom, there's plenty of room for a 3-4 row radiator that goes well below the bumper valance. I might even make 2 civic radiators side by side for a chevy swap that im into.

I did this job on my 2000 Trusti Rusti. I used this video to do the job, and I just now realized an essential piece of info I missed last time. Austin says the girdle is on 96 and up, and while I have a 00, it has a 95 block (I often forget this previous owner did the swap). It now makes complete sense why that girdle was missing.

Standard pumps are for gm v belt engines. Basically 86 and older jeeps. Reverse is for serpentine.

It's ALWAYS good to smear a dab of dielectric grease on EVERY connection. ESPECIALLY GROUNDS!

Has anyone tried this and put the new fabric over the existing headliner? For whatever reason my g/fs headliner isn't sagging but it is super faded.

Thank you for this!! I replaced it with a parts store sensor and it just failed. Lasted 2 or 3 months. I should have went with your recommendation and ordered the part but I needed to get back on the road ASAP. Ordering the part from a dealer Monday and swapping the one with the "Life Time" warranty while the new one comes in.

What is the plug directly in front of the pcv valve. Back right corner of the valve cover. My electrical connector was full of oil.

One other thing to do is check oil pressure before tear down and if it is low change cam bearings.

Is there a gasket in between the front pipe and the exhaust manifold? There’s seems to be some confusion on the web about using a donut gasket/flange.
