Thanks for your help. I put a whole new exhaust system on my Jeep Sport 1999 4l for under 400 clams. I used lap clamps, and one band clamp it works great, no leaks. The shop wanted 1500 dollars. What a joke. Thanks Again!

Thanks for the outstanding video Austin . I was thinking about putting a muffler on my vehicle I change my mind a couple weeks ago seeing how the weather was getting cold so I decided to seal the seam on my muffler I patched it up with muffler cement. I wish I was not in such a rush I should have used some wire screen along with the muffler cement. I hope that it makes it through winter.

I live just south of and mine rusted off in a couple years. Popped off on the way to work in the morning. It was my second of the model. Switch to Borla. Much better exhaust

Looks like you probably have an exhaust leak just behind your cat where you used that u clamp instead of a band like you used further back. I had the exact same issue. Closing that up will quiet things down more.

I have the 2000 xj with the 2 into 1 manifold with 2 cats up high right after manifold and one down lower after the bend. I really, really hate that set up 😅

Hey where is the link for the "normal style" clamp you said you ordered because the O2 sensor would not allow for the lap style band clamp?

Any Universal 2.25" U-bolt exhaust clamp from the auto parts store should work. I did eventually use the band lap clamp but notched a section out for the O2 sensor.

Just the normal lifter/rocker tick. It's been doing that the last 100k miles.

O ok. Mine has that cat but also bulb looking thing in the front pipe. I keep failing smog to high nox. So I wasn't sure if it was a cat or not. From the research I've done it seems some xjs have them and some dont.
