I can’t believe after all those years, and after knowing they have a healthy daughter who’s grown up, they still remember Faith. How sweet
@psychozirus90853 жыл бұрын
Even compared to 20 years, 9 months of hopes don't just fade away, especialy when you're waiting for something as enormous as having a child from the one you love... then lose the baby. You don't forget something that important easily.

@jacquelyndixon27886 жыл бұрын
I think that was the whole point Sam missed about the breakdown/crying scene...not just about Bree but that all his suffering had been worth it so she was safe, and to finally have proof. I didn't miss having him cry, but he comes across here more as a vaguely interested grandfather, and the very abrupt shift into his bragging about Willie is just awkward. I can see why they moved the reveal, to make Jamie seem open and honest, but spending two minutes on Bree sucks.

Well written scene with no hysterics, just a relatively calm meeting that portrays the nervousness that is engulfing both of them. Small talk about glasses, finally the request to kiss her. Perfect!

I’m so glad Claire made sure that none of the photos showed Frank’s face. Jamie would have freaked out and been beside himself that the man he forced his beloved wife to go back to, the man who held and raised his wee girl to call him daddy, had the face of his torturer and rapist.
@MyahUnleashed9 ай бұрын
I think it would’ve crushed him too. Because before William, he said he lost 2 children Faith was stillborn, never got to hold her and Claire was pregnant with Brianna when she went through the stones
@Curlyteacher5379 ай бұрын
@@MyahUnleashed Yes, he still had his son Fergus through it all but couldn’t tell anyone about him when he was imprisoned or indentured for his own safety as the child of traitors and someone who actually fought in the rebellion, which is why he told Lord Dunsaney he lost 2 children not both or all of his children because he still had his son left. Jamie has 4 children and didn’t get to raise any of them for their whole lives, needing to be separated from all of them for an extended period of time. He lost Faith, he was separated from Brianna for the first 21 years of her life, he didn’t get Fergus until he was 8 and then only after a few years had to live in a cave instead of actually at Lallybroch with Fergus and then needed to leave at age 17 for 10 years as a prisoner to keep him safe, and finally had to keep his fatherhood of William a secret and only living around him until age 6 before giving him to Lord John to raise.
@Curlyteacher5378 ай бұрын
@@MyahUnleashed He was also never able to tell anyone about their son Fergus while he was imprisoned or indentured since he could have been in danger by association with the traitor Red Jamie, and who was actually a Jacobite traitor himself as he fought in the war and could have been imprisoned too. People sometimes forget that Fergus is actually Jamie’s first son and oldest child. Jamie had 4 children, a son who was there during his brightest and darkest times and who he had to keep secret during his time in prison, and who was the only one he was able to raise with his beloved wife, a daughter who was lost to him the day she was born, a daughter who was lost to him the day his he had to send his beloved wife away to save her and the unborn baby thinking he would never see either, and finally had a son with a woman who was threatening his family and other son in order to get him into her bed and couldn’t claim as his own.

If you survived into your 20s you actually stood a pretty decent chance of reaching old age. Life expectancy was so low back then because of high childhood mortality.

That's right they didn't have pictures until the 1800's so it explains why he reacted that way. He's lucky Claire wasn't from the 2010's. If she showed him a video from her cellphone that would have freaked him out more. I would be scared to show anyone in that Era my smartphone because they might think I'm a witch( or whatever a male equivalent of a witch is) and try to burn me. One thing I would bring with me are modern guns. Find it odd out of 3 time travelers nobody bought modern guns with them. Would definitely gave Claire and Jaime and advantage in that gun fight they had at thier house since guns back then took a long time to reload. Probably why Jamie had so many guns.
