It's interesting how they made the scene between Jamie and Ian while in the book it's between Brianna and Ian, and Brianna asks her father Frank to look after Ian's daughter. I actually like the change, it makes sense.

@@patriciagilkerson8388 She asks him as her "angel" now that he has passed away. The same way Jamie asks Faith to take care of Ian's daughter.

@@patriciagilkerson8388 bc she see Frank as her angel or spiritual guide always watching over her, so she was asking for him to find Ian’s child which she also considers family and have him watch over her much like a dad would a sister or cousin! (It’s nit that different than real life when asking a loved one to watch over someone, my daddy died in 2019 when my ex fiancés mother died in 2020 I ask her bf she left to find my daddy and for them to talk about us both and watch over us and catch a big fish! I understand this is a book but many believe angels, or spirit guides, ancestors, however you choose to look at it watch over and protect us once they are gone, and find those we are attached to who have crossed over!

I've never read the books, but two fathers commemorating over the loss of their baby daughters, especially when a lot of the circumstances and their mindsets are the same, makes a lot more sense to me

It's beautiful to see a scene of two fathers grieving for their unborn children who didn't live to birth. It reminds everyone who might have doubted that a father's love is equally deep and beautiful as a mother's. Jamie is right: Both their babies are in Heaven and no doubt have been together watching over their parents from above all this time, and when in God's time Jamie and Ian die, they'll meet their babies in Heaven.

Exactly what I was thinking. We often see mother’s grief represented on screen but rarely fathers or young fathers grief!

If this is from Season 6, and I'm only on Season 2 on NetFlix, why doesn't NetFlix have Season 5 ? . Isn't Season 5 completed, since we're onto Season 6 now? Netflix only has Seasons 1 through 4

This was a very beautiful and touching scene. Jamie was very tender and supportive. He is a loving uncle. Ian was very hurt and upset. Jamie provided him with plausible answers which were very comforting.
