In Outlander Season 7, Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the violent birth pains of an emerging nation as armies march to war and British institutions crumble in the face of armed rebellion. The land the Frasers call home is changing - and they must change with it. In order to protect what they’ve built, the Frasers have to navigate the perils of the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes to defend what you love, you have to leave it behind. As the conflict draws them out of North Carolina and into the heart of this fight for independence, Jamie, Claire, Brianna, and Roger are faced with impossible decisions that have the potential to tear their family apart. I am presently finishing, "In My Own Heart's Blood" and I've been wondering what Rachel would look like on the show. She is quite close to how I imagined her to be. Good on Ian. People will understand the Ian reference in due time.

Omg, imagine going to work living out a Hocus pocus dream of being Thackeray Binx 😂😂 that movie is actually what got me into 17th/18th century history and movies when I was a child. I wanted more!! Still a nerd 😁

@@hellund2874 Well of course he's younger than Claire. I pictured him arround Roger's age mid 30's. This actor is obviously 20 something.

No, it’s hard to age the actors on the TV show- Jamie is supposed to be in his 50s and Claire closer to 60, but Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe don’t look close to that. There’s only so much you can do to age someone on TV without it looking ridiculous. So it would make sense to cast younger for the other characters.

So very different from now i see them in my head. But that would probably be the case no matter what. I love the characters so hoping they do a great job and the writing does the character justice. That can be hit or miss in the show sometimes

It is a right con that Outlander was originally included in Amazon Prime but now you have to pay for Starz which is a load of rubbish

I get this show starts in Britain and Scotland. Hiring those actors is fine. But these two characters….well, it sure would be nice if they hired a few more American actors to play, you know Americans as American Revolutionaries (their characters were born here and call themselves Americans). Same goes for people from the Carolina Appalachians. They could have filmed it here too. Tons of things are filmed here all the time. Like Dirty Dancing, Hunger Games, Nell, Peripheral is currently being filmed here. They make Cherokee people travel to Scotland for months on end instead of filming scenes on their ancient/sacred land (the Reservation could really use the income from a show being shot here too). Not many went after the first season they were in it and they’ve had the hire actors from other tribes. It gets frustrating for everyone.

I thought I was the only one who thought that way. Earlier, I brought up this very topic and was informed that 1) Budget. Somehow it was cheaper to hire First Nation actors and fly them to Scotland. 2) Again budget. Sets can "reconstruct" the Appalacian area. I grew up there. The set is not quite lose. 3) Tax and union reasons. The directors, producers, and some of the "writers" (don't get me started) are all American. For some reason, none of the actors may be from the States. From what I understand , "Geneva" is an American actress working in the UK.
