After watching this thoroughly enjoyable interview after eight years I have such a different perspective on their relationship! At the time they did seem infatuated with each other but I think now it was just the thrill of being associated with such a successful show as Outlander! Something they did not expect! They both struggled for quite a few years to be recognized as serious and successful actors and they were both so happy they made it! I think they are both gorgeous and remarkable people and I wish them both continued success in all their future endeavors after Season 8 is over! Just love them!💙🤍🙏🏻

Seeing this eight years later I can pretty easy guess they were infatuated with each other at the beginning. And I am no fangirl shipping them no matter what. They've grown, matured and definitely stabilized into their friendship but you can tell there WAS something more between them. And who could blame them - both beautiful inside and out, intelligent, sexy and with great and somewhat naughty sense of humor spending so much time together and going through some beautiful but also rough moments on their job. It would be really hard not to fall for each other. I know it would deffo be hard for me 😉

If you watch them since about the 5th episode of the 1st season .Of course they are more then friends they were to affectionate towards each other at every event and off screen when captured by others .Of course it is their own business .But they were so not caring then an abrupt stopping .Evidently word came from higher up to stop it publicly.Most likely because of ratings .Sam has become a heart throb .They don't want to discourage the female audience.Look what has happened to vampire diaries over Ian and Nina Dobrev.They don't want the same thing on Starz.To much money involved.
