Have to say I am very impressed with her efforts in Outlander...I just "found" it by accident when looking for a new show to watch on netflix.....and ummmmm 4 days later I watched all three seasons and had to get a Starz subscription for season 4 lol...anyhow each season to me as i have not read the books gets better..and her performance is exemplary to say the least.

His shy demeanor comes through which is a testament to how genuine he is. My sense is that he knows how to guard against typecasting. Jamie has great depth of emotion from love to anger and do him justice Sam must have an equal amount of that intensity within him. He is a man to be admired on many levels. Given the. Chance to act with great writing he will have a brilliant career. I saw "The spy who dumped Me " and the writing was at best mediocre so his acting could only do so much. I was disappointed. Jamie is a far superior part and shows the depth of actors ability.

It comes across that way it seems he suppresses some part of himself in the presence of CB his co-star.... at least in interviews. He defers to her.is it expected? I get the impression that she enjoys doing these interviews more than he does, so he's happy to let her take the lead and talk as much as she wants, and then he just plays off of her and chimes in when he wants. ETA: And you can see when they hit a topic that he actually cares about, he does get a bit effusive. For example, when they ask about the favorite costume, he talks about the end of highland culture, etc... it shows how deeply he thinks about some of this stuff.

I’ve read that he is a very private person. I can see that in his interviews. He uses both humor and deference to CB to allow him to say as little as possible. Can’t say that I blame him! With the public always wanting more and more of you, it’s probably easy to want to hide in a shell. I like my privacy too, Sam!

These guys still are close after all this time. Fans who are worried about their friendship don't be. They seem fine, you can see Cait looks tired and even Sam hinted in interviews her schedule was crazy and that they're filming parts separately. There friendship has grown and matured (like there characters relationship) and like a few others have said it's no longer this fresh, new thing and with the scrutiny of same fans desperate for them to be an item it must make it hard for them at times... they seem fine still teasing one another... that's what best friends do xxx

Slackburn GirlHe is the one breathing like into this character. ... his virtue and kindness and bravery .. all which I’m sure he possesses in real life ... she is the one responding to him , off screen and off she lights him up and he her .. she adores him and has said so.. she says all the time how strong and good and handsome he is ..& he is also a Scot.. with all of the history behind him , life that is in him , people who he descended down from to his life now.. so I’m sure he feels it when he is acting. The show is about a brave man who doesn’t give up who is a scot at the turning point of the history of Scotland .. just because he is living in modern times doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t have existed back then.. and she is just the type of woman who is immortal she is timeless and classy and fun. Everybody can see it .. as for significant others ...in the words of a very popular song ,,, well,, i know you ain’t in love with him break up with him ...Sam and Cait forever!!!!

Sam and Catriona’s interactions are different now..they seem distant and less affectionate with each other..very different from previous years so I don’t think they’re spending as much time together like before...body language is more closed off facing away from each other and they don’t look each other in the eye for long. He is definitely bolder now..he holds himself with more confidence and he’s more assertive in his mannerisms and speech..very positive..just hope he doesn’t get cocky about it..Caitriona on the other hand seemed less certain and a bit less wittier and less happier than usual..maybe she was tired but I wanted to point out the change in their relationship..l hope this doesn’t affect the show because it’s their chemistry that makes Outlander magical and addictive.

I think their relationship is like every other relationship. It changes and goes through stages. They are older and less playful and the newness has worn off. Just as in the series where they have matured 20 years, Jamie and Claire are different people now. So are Cait and Sam. I feel like Sam, especially, has really grown as an actor. His facial expressions in Season 3 are haunting.

They DO seem much more distant now. I think Sam has become more confident but not cocky at all. Caitriona is engaged now so that has to change the dynamics, as well. I think the biggest problem had to be all the "shipping" from some crazy fans which probably made Sam/Cait much more wary of how they interact. I know it would have driven me crazy.

Yes. She definitely looks her age because sam looks much younger than 41. In season 4 especially, she looks at least 10 years older than him. I find some of her teasing of Sam as outputting. She comes across as so called trying to come off as smarter ..Sam is more engaging and genuine. Sam seems more likeable.

I hate these meetings when they have to answer these questions. The host is always annoying and stupid, these actors seem to answer a lot of questions with 'I don't know', they seem to be very fake, dishonest, confused and uncomfortable. My conclusion is that they are not being honest with themselves as well as their audience, which is a big turn off.

Je découvre cette vidéo alors que le tournage de la saison 5 vient de débuter. Les relations entre les deux acteurs semblent avoir déjà bien changé... On est loin de l’alchimie de la saison 1 ! Les blagues et taquineries ressemblent plus à des piques qu’ils se lancent, voire à des petits règlements de compte... Dommage ! Nous aimions tous l’idée d’une réelle complicité entre Cait et Sam, d’une relation “particulière”, essentielle pour les rôles de Claire et Jamie. Ce n’est plus tout à fait pareil... 😢
