I loved my Freightliner , I could have stayed in it 24/ 7. But my favorite time was seeing the sun come up. Nothing like a beautiful sunrise and a good truck stop breakfast. Retired 24 years ago. It's still hard to stay at home. Sometimes I dream about the road at night. Wake up and bum out.

@Trucknbabygirl hi 👋 years ago before Tony was famous, he drove OTR old school like me. We met at a random truckstop in Brookshire TX he sat in a booth next to mine. Tony asked if I thought anybody would pay to hear a truck driver play guitar sing songs about truckers over the road. Hell Yes thought it was a great idea! Tony sang a song right there he wrote in his 18 wheeler, I stood up, clapping and swung my hips. He has a darn good voice and sang true trucking lyrics. Never seen him again at a truckstop but did see him at MATS free Concert.

My last " outlaw ride " was an 89 362 Pete. My first was a 62 Pete that hauled arse. That old 89 girl would march around the modern ones, bigger payloads, reliable and get a lot better fuel economy. Should never have let her go. Anyone old enough to remember what it was like would know what I mean? All you had to do was grease em, wash em, go again. Now you have to screw em back together or wait till someone turns up with a laptop. The old days might have been hard, but at least we looked after each other. The feeling of going quick and learning your craft and knowing you've done your best has all but died. Truck on. 🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛
