Modern-day truckers are the last of the cowboys and a vital asset to our nation and our economy. This is a small tribute to those hardworking men and women.

I so miss my HIGHWAY COWBOY!!! I lost my husband on October 3, 2014. He drove for over 30 years and logged millions of miles with no accidents. He was my night & shining armour! Life will never be the same again. I get so choked up when I see a rig, and especially hearing the air brakes. Our 3 children would jump & run to go meet Daddy when they heard those air brakes coming down our country road and they would wait as he backed that rig in next to the old farmhouse he was raised in and we raised our children in. Crying now gotta go, keep rollin & as my husband would say "Keep the shiny side up" 😢

You can still play the old school way. But elogs will change that. Hey at least my old trucks are now worth more $$$! Anyone noticed the renewed popularity in gliders? If you have to ask what that is, you ain't been playing this game long enough. Blue def, elogs? No we won't be doing that! Siri, Alexa or some little black box isn't going tell me, when it's time for nappy time. It was always impossible to do! But we just did it anyway. Most of the REAL drivers are dead or close to it. But it is about safety! Look at what we have out there now! Swift would be a good example..

I jumped on the radio said I'm with you... he laughed and told me i couldnt keep up... well from just outside of salt lake in the winter with snow falling, two triple digit trucks let it all hang out..... all you could here on the radio, was two big trucks moving fast stay outta the hammer lane.. now I dont know nothing about yall, but where i grew up my heros where junior johnson, and popcorn sutton.. we let those trucks scream in nearly blinding snow.... made it to boise, the truck stop just before the scale... pulled in to fuel up... when i got out of that rig.. a big hand hit my shoulder and a Man said.. didnt think there was anyway in hell you could keep up.... where you headed.. I told him portland.. he shook his head, said the ranch is 20 miles up ..... if you ever wanna job come find me..

More people need to. I plan on being a trucker in the future. Ever since i was a little toddler, i have loved them. I had a grandfather that used to drive an old peterbilt (i think it was a 379 or 359). I used to climb all over the tires and play in the bunk. Instead of barbies, i had a bunch of monster truck and car toys. So while my friends fangirl over some stupid rich celebrities, i’m going to fangirl over some actually sexy peterbilts and kenworths.

Sadly our way of life has and continues to be destroyed by forigen drivers having 150,000 trucks bought by our government so they can keep freight rates down . They allow the cross border trucking agreements to allow Mexican drivers to haul what would be three and four dollar a mile freight for pennies on the dollar and then then stick American truckers with the tax bill. Sad part is we sat back and let it happen .
