OMFG I've literally had the ending tune stuck in my head for years since I was a child and it drove me nuts for years so I finally just googled toonami anime in the early 2000s and went through about 100 (ok maybe 16) anime ending songs & I FINALLY FOUND IT :DDD!

Oh the memories from college just come flooding back! Good god they just don't make anime or soundtracks like this anymore. Between Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop I had everything I needed anime-wise.

I call these songs timeless because no matter how much times they are listened too... they will never get old... Like Star Ocean 3 "desolate smell of the earth" (i think thats what it is called) and .hack "mac anu" (The first game) or Jet Force Gemini "Water Ruins" (SUPER TIMELESS... i dare say almost the whole OST was in the wrong era it begs a remake but Rareware was bought by microsoft and they have been nothing ever since.)

When I was a child I lived in poverty Hard Times wasn't understatement I remember coming home from the juvenile detention center my Mom borrow cable from the neighbor's house I was thankful for being home I can watch cartoons at night I seen Outlaw Star it took me out of my reality just looking at the animation and listening to that beautiful song at the end brought me to a beautiful world wonderful place that I could only imagine a blessed Outlaw Star
