💥i am a german engineer, driving the su7 max for several months here in china now! really happy to see the result in this video. i love it and i dont wanna drive my others cars anymore. btw some things wanna add to the video: - i am seeing 315kw+ regularly in my charging sessions up to around 60% where it slowly goes to 200kw until 80% where the curve steps down to 120kw and sticks to around 80kw to almost full depending on weather and battery temps (battery will precondition itself if you set navi to a fast charger, not sure how that will work in USA for now) - power peaks i see in normal sport mode is 750HP and not the advertised 675HP while i think its around 800hp peak under launch mode. - 47:55min EMERGENCY BRAKING can be dialed down or turned off. mine does NOT do freak out when accelerating behind another car. every driving/safety function can be changed to your need. - 49:30min yes of course you can turn the voice off! i dont know why ben said its always on. just scroll the volume wheel down when she talks and voice is silent. - to launch you dont need turn on BOOST. just be in sport mode - brake and throttle, it will enable launch mode itself with the blue dot on screen. BOOST button is there when you are in comfort or any other slower cruising mode and need a quick overtake. i use this button every day and its so much more convenient than switching modes each time first. - max power for slow charging is 11kw - enough to charge it from 10% to 90% in 1 night (not 21kw as you said kyle. and yeeeah i know i also hoped it would be 21kw) - CHANGE SU7 TO ENGLISH: go you your options tab. scroll all the way down to SYSTEM (you see the big HYPER OS logo on the right side. -click the THIRD text from the top -in the next menu click THIRD text from the top again, you see a very long number in the middle with text and date at the end. -use 2 fingers and quickly tap that number about 10 to 15 times. after a short delay the car will change to english language if you are in firmware 1.4.0 or higher. to Kyle: THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for keeping an open mind! first time i saw this car and order it i was begging different youtube channels not to judge before reviewing it. seeing my own car on this channel and hear the positive result warms my heart. too happy! each time i DC charge the SU7 i got your channel in mind with the enthusiastic cheering for more kilowatt haha! 🤣😘 ask me anything in the future - i know the su7 max inside out.

An all-screen layout is a flat dealbreaker for me personally, so I could never get a Tesla, Rivian, or even Lucid. These all-screen systems just scream "cheap and unsafe!" to me. Americans are apparently a little okay with removing some buttons (notice the lack of a wiper stalk here, replaced by a gear shift stalk for some reason), because some American cars make that mistake too (GM being the biggest offender). It is battery technology, supply chain, distribution and AI/computer technology, which the first three are Chinese specialty, and the last one is almost monopolized by Chinese and Americans. To be fair, all that could be avoided if the US economy actually kept jobs and manufacturing in the US instead of exporting all of it. But I guess cheap labor makes sense.
@frankiedehockie2 күн бұрын
@@ProXcaliber manufacture all the goods here will mean: 1- Higher Cost for all goods - which will lead to higher inflation and cost of living. Or we can allow more low cost labor to work in manufacturing. However, that is spike backlash against immigration. 2- US will not be competitive from an export standpoint. Right now, a mass market car manufactured in the US and shipped to Brazil will not be competitive against Chinese cars. Low cost Chinese goods are actually increasing Americans living standards.
@ProXcaliber2 күн бұрын
@@frankiedehockie Your first point is kind of not entirely accurate. Of course, prices would increase initially due to the changes, but as demand and manufacturing increase the cost can drop considerably. Economies of scale apply in basically all cases, and the more you make of something, the cheaper it becomes to make. And, I disagree on your second point. The US, like any other country, has its specialties when it comes to exports. The main ones being energy, technology, and aerospace. I'm not exactly saying that the US has to become a massive manufacturing country making all sorts of products and out competing every other country. I'm more saying that the US can be more self-sufficient and competitive in global trade. There are a lot of areas where the US can easily make its own goods to compete with international products, but they don't because businesses aren't incentivized to do so. And no businesses want to be the first to take the revenue hit. But for the most part, a lot of companies that do operate mostly on US made products are profitable, and are competitively priced. I hate to use them as an example here, but just look at Tesla being mostly American made parts (I believe up to 80% or higher), and yet they are very competitive for what they offer.

Chinese cars are not heavily subsidized. Do you really think the Chinese government can finance the largest car market in the world and exports? An accounting of BYD vs Tesla government funding suggest they are quite similar. What China has is a complete, tightly managed supply chain, lower cost of design and engineering, and a very competitive market. And, verses many US factories, a much higher level of automation - keep in mind Tesla Shanghai was where they got settled with local help and finally figured out manufacturing. If you go to China you should tour some factories, this will explain how Chinese manufactures at low cost more than 100 pundits yapping.

Xiaomi would be a good candidate to license FSD, their speed of innovation means they could incorporate the FSD hardware/software solution quickly. One note, at 29:18min when Ben says we can't test the route planning but I can imagine that would work really well. That shows a little bias, imagining performance shouldn't be part of a review.
@ifconfigexyoung3353Күн бұрын
Great thought, but actually major Chinese brands all have/are developing their own FSD-like system, including, Huawei, Xpeng, Li, Zeekr, NIO, and Xiaomi. So far, many brands already released Highway and City NOA, autonomous valet parking, etc, and are catching up quickly with FSD v13 (they call it "end-to-end autonomous driving" in China). Some brands (like NIO and Xpeng) even made their own ADAS chips, similar to Tesla's. So, I guess they will prefer to develop their own FSD rather than buy from Tesla. BTW, FSD is still NOT available in China today, and Tesla owners can only use EAP in China.
@astrancКүн бұрын
@@ifconfigexyoung3353 After further thought I realized Tesla will never license the technology because it requires the full stack of Tesla hardware (camera, processors etc) and software. Then the auto makers would also need to upgrade on Teslas schedule to keep current and the minimum size Tesla would support is 500K cars. Add to that once Robot taxi comes out it's a bit of a wasted effort. I think you might find all other manufacturers will be limited in their FSD if they are using heuristic models vs neural net.
