There is another shop in Oregon that does this. We need more of these kinds of businesses. They do more than just leafs and old toyotas. They actually work on everything like Teslas

Okay, this is exactly what the industry needs! Prospective owners need to know there is an alternative out there as opposed to “factory replacement”. Well done…..thank you.

The EV industry definitely needs more shops like this, as the dealers only follow orders from the manufacturers. It would be cool to see the troubleshooting steps and the actual process of the repairs.

I really enjoyed this video. Great to see an inside look at a new service that we (more recent EV owners) will need going forward. Awesome shop, staff, and owners of Konduit EV for sure. Thanks for putting it all together and looking forward to seeing the MS coolant delete video.

toyota master ev tech here. there is a good handful of these RavEV in the northeast. I have personally replaced the drive unit in a RavEV. It came directly from Tesla, arriving in a Tesla box. The diagnostic software blows, yes. Tesla provided it fully to Toyota.

There are people and small companies across the country that do this. Some are one-man shops, others are larger. I had my LDU coolant delete done at a small shop just an hour and a half away. You’re probably only a few hours away from a local 3rd party repair shop.

Nice to see 3rd party EV repair shops. Makes sense that they are first appearing in CA. How long before we see them in the midwest, like Chicago area? Got to be many of us Tesla owners who just want to save money on repairs, suspension upgrades, etc. There's a market out there that isn't being addressed.

They talk about "coolant delete" like it never needed coolant to begin with. Is that true? If so, why the manufacturer would go to all that extra expense to liquid cool the motor?
@ALRinaldi
@ALRinaldi 7 сағат бұрын
It really doesn’t unless you’re driving on a track really hard. I think it was Tesla overbuilding their first in house designed and built drive unit and then waiting for 11 years to fix a flaw that should have been done in 1 or 2 years. Imagine all the LDUs that were replaced under their 8 year unlimited mileage warranty. 🤷‍♂️Cool thing that QC’s delete manifold does have the ability to convert it to oil cooling if spirited driving is a concern.

I would think they would start seeing Audi Etron soon. It would be nice to put a longer range battery in a 2019 etron because it's such a nice vehicle to drive but needs more range. Also the Etrons could be made more efficient once they are out of warranty with after market modifications as it seems the thermal systems are over active trying to keep the battery in specific ranges of temperature when they could probably work within a wider range of temperatures or maybe just more efficient pumps running the thermals.

These guys should be supported as much as possible. Tesla owners need private shops for service. The dealers, I don't this have the most qualified repair guys. Tesla will tell you they don't make money on service. The 3 Tesla service dealers near me are rude and expensive and could care less.

How can I find out what recommended preventive maintenance there is for my EV? Not what the manufacturer recommends, but what the independents have discovered in the course of their work. I have a 2019 Model S Performance that just turned over 100k miles and I’m wondering what would be smart to have done to it.

This is nice for California. But for us east coast dwellers, independent EV shops are rare. I just sold a 2012 Leaf with a fresh battery for cheap because I could not get the heater repaired, and a bad sensor in the passenger seat replaced for a reasonable price. Even at the electrified garage.
