Dang, that was scary, especially since both vessels were underway. Now I gotta look through your channel to see if you have a break down of your set up. Mostly the trolling motor since I use it for my autopilot when trolling.

@ yeah, just got done skimming your old videos and found several on your generator set up. Sounds like you charge batteries, run an a/c, ice maker, fridge and espresso machine off of a 2800watt peak generator? That’s pretty awesome. Do you just run the generator 24/7 for your a/c and fridge? Not sure I can justify the expense of a marine a/c unit, but the generator is definitely something doable to recharge my bow mount lithium and other batteries overnight.

No, Customs and Coast Guard officers generally do not need probable cause to search individuals or their belongings at the border, as they are allowed to conduct searches based on the "border search exception" which permits warrantless searches without suspicion due to the unique security needs at the border; however, a more intrusive search might require a higher level of suspicion depending on the circumstances.

@OutOnTheReef but my question is, what are they going to do with the human? Why stop me for an hour and waste my time if they are going to just release them? Harassment is what it is. If they arrested me and deported the human, I'd be ok with that. But that's not what's going to happen....at least not untill January 20th when Tom Homan takes over. Lol

I am reposting my comment because I think it is important. It is no longer posted on this video, I don't know why. I don't think anyone should leave the helm with their boat in gear, especially while someone is transversing to another vessel. The captain should stay at the wheel with the ability to drop the boat in neutral in case of a MOB accident. In this case, both officers were changing vessels at the same time. This too is incorrect, they should have done so one at a time while the other was spotting them. Anytime we get away without injury during an accident, it an opportunity to say what could we have done different to produce a better outcome. Please don't delete, this is important.
@OutOnTheReef9 күн бұрын
hello cap i never deleted the lost comment cap. you have a good point but in moving seas is harder to board a boat without boats banging each other cap. this was the most safe way, but you have a great point they should have boarded one at a time that way the boats don't react to the weight difference, thanks for your comment cap.

@@OutOnTheReef Thank you Sir, you are so safety conscience I was surprised when my post was deleted, forgive me if I was out of line. I was not trying to be critical at all, everyone in your video are seasoned professionals and spend a lot of time on the water, yet still accidents happen. I would hope their safety advisor gets ahold of your video to use for a "what can go wrong" training segment. The more we know the safer we are. Well done,

Do you think they are allowed to inspect a commercial ship at sea ? That would cost millions. They are allowed to inspect your ship in the harbour when you have nothing to declare at arrival and departure. At sea you as captain its your own ship and you stay every moment in command, you have to refuse inspection at sea, you have to refuse them coming on board. They are only allowed to sea your papers but in fact they have to leave you alone for safety and costs at sea. There is no sea police, they are harbour authority.
