Planning to add a fresh water setup in my newly purchased 2003 2120. I don't have a live well so looking to buy a fresh water tank that I can add maybe behind my bench seat inside the pilothouse. Thanks for the inspiration.

Interesting idea to save space and add versatility to your pocket cruiser. You can use it to save rain water for showers and such, probably not going to be drinking it unless it's an emergency I'm sure. For permanent freshwater supply in limited space, check out Plastimo flexible water tanks. They are not vented, so that's one less thru hull and they can be installed just about any unused space. I have been using them for years with good results.

Cap, did you mount your bilge pump in your battery compartment or your bilge area? I have a 2012 2120 so I think I have less space in the battery compartment areas
@OutOnTheReef4 жыл бұрын
Yes on the right hand side facing the motor on that side next to the battery and the lifewell there's a very tight space there that's exactly where I placed it at it doesn't get hit by water and that area so that's the dry spot I could find and it works perfect their captain👍

Good video however I see a problem……. All wire connections MUST have heat shrink on any boat . That will. Be the first thing to fail no matter how many wraps of tape you put on them .45 years building boats has taught me that lesson the hard way Sir.

I plan on doing this upgrade next captain. How's the seaflo treating you? What size pump would you recommend for our boat? Debating between that and the jasbasco.

Hey cap for that pvc pipe instead of switching caps why not just put a pvc water hand valve instead so you can just open it when using the live well for over flow and close when using fresh water instead of keep switching caps so you won't have to worry about keeping up with 2 pipe fittings just a thought though but keep up the good work I enjoy watching your vids

Love your videos. You need to use marine-grade heat shrink butt splice connectors at any electrical that could get even slightly wet though. You're going to have problems there. Electrical tape isn't waterproof and you will get a short/blown fuse.

OMG - There are so many problems with this Freshwater install that I'm not sure where to start. That livewell isn't water-tight. It's going to slowly leak water into the drain. You need to install a FW dedicated tank. And the wiring process ..... oh my! Automotive wire, automotive crimps, electrical tape, and zinc quick disconnect...... all scream of an impending boat fire once the negative portion of this circuit gets a little corrosion. Get all of that fixed before you have a major problem
