In the time of Need For Speed and Forza, how could an arcade classic make a comeback? That's simple: expand the gameplay in a way that's true to its roots.

Just stumbled upon this. The algorithm actually worked for once. Kinda shocked this video only has 2.3k views. I'm glad to have added another to it! OutRun 2 is my favorite arcade game, and seeing people talking lovingly about it brings me joy.

This game is what SEGA is all about: Blue skies, green hills, and SPEED!

Thanks for the wait! It's been a while since the last video. It's been a rough road getting to this point from there (pun intended), so I tried to go the extra mile as a thanks. (Pun, again, intended) I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but I really do appreciate your comments. That's what keeps me going whenever I lose motivation.

Great video. Only thing I think should have been added was that the developers SEGA-AM2 had mastered the craft of drifting cars in arcade racing games for a decade by that point with Daytona USA and Scud Race/Super GT.

You can increase difficulty in the PC version. I'll have to check if the vehicle speed reduces dramatically with greater difficulty when colliding as you say at 5:19.

Game difficulty only affects the amount of time you get extended for each new stage. Handling is unaffected

So, who is better? Brake drifting or gear drifting?

Outrun 3 Would need 1.to have position racing& kill this against the clock racing. The clock can still be there to give bonus points 2.mild customization Change colors , rims add some parts to change the characteristic of the car 3.damage models for cars 4.make outrun a club that racers get together once a year and race from California to Boston and back. Stopping at each stage and getting together to collect wagers and mix damages or cars 😊 Anywhere car is damaged and players have money they can tow the car to a dealer and have it repaired . If player wager their car and lose its game over .! Unless they have money to buy a new car

Hated the rediculus drifting in outrun 2, it completely ruined the game. All they had to do was give it sega rally handling.

Outrun was ridiculous, if you are older as me I played DOS version, the game never was about realism, it was about speed and fun
