Excellent trick! I ordered the phone clamp right after I watched your video last week. It arrived just in time for me to use it for my live in-home cooking class. It was perfect! Thank you so much for the very helpful tip!

@@SincerelySirena I used it for an in-home cooking class. I clipped my smartphone to it and attached the support arm to a cupboard. I was able to bend it into just the right position to point down towards the countertop to show the work. Then I used my laptop to talk into and show the stovetop and rest of the kitchen behind me. I also really appreciated learning about switching the volume off on one of the phones to avoid reverberation. Thanks again!

Hi, do you know how to record the phone camera if you are sharing a photo on the main screen?
@evolvefly29813 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this, super easy to follow! After doing what you said, I do have one thing that bugs me still, I hope this makes sense: I use Zoom to record within the program, and while following your directions the recording only shows the Spotlighted camera in fullscreen mode. I want it to show the spotlighted camera (where I'll be demonstrating something) in fullscreen, but I still want to see my face in a smaller view from my laptop camera (like how it still shows your daughter and your faces in smaller screens at the top). How can I do this?

Been researching expensive cameras for doing my Zoom plant based cooking classes. What you shared is incredibly helpful. Thank you. My question: I use my laptop to present classes, and have been moving screen up and down to show the cooking demo. If I use iphone as you described, don't I have to sign in iphone as a participant to feature using it to show cooking demo? My understanding is that I can still be seen talking with participants but they would also see the cooking on my island as I focus iphone on the process.

Cindy McCool When you join with your second camera ( iPhone) do Not choose to use the internet audio. Choose “cancel” instead. That will solve the feedback problem. You don’t need any sound on your second camera.

I'm having some issues with recording when I use 2 cameras. I assume the camera that you start the meeting on is the one that will record correct? I want my clients to have the recording of the document view (of my hands and the teaching surface) so that means I should start the meeting on my phone and then join with my laptop -- does that sound right? @@SincerelySirena thank you! So that means you can spotlight either yourself as the teacher or your iPhone as a document camera showing a tutorial. That makes sense! @@teacheraudrey1233 I have not tried it within Outschool but I have used my phone as a second "participant" in my personal Zoom account. Could there be a difference there? I will try again with the steps posted here and see what happens. I will update this comment with the results. UPDATE: I just tried it again on my personal Zoom account (waiting for my application to be approved on Outschool) . The option "pin video" worked - on my laptop, as host, I pinned the video from the other participant (i.e. my phone). It worked perfectly with my host video showing on top of the pinned video. Perhaps the Outschool Zoom account is set up differently? I will have to try once I get accepted to teach :)
