Is that right. It's california my guy. 40% of the population is Hispanic. Places in mexico that make America look like a third world country. Travel through Jackson Mississippi, memphis, Baltimore, New Orleans, Detroit.

It took me about 3 months just to get an appointment, I had to call every single day for it. The whole process took a whole year and this was during Covid. I can imagine how much worse it got smh

For the past 4 years, it has been impossible for thousands of Mexican nationals to make appointments. Even online appointments were booked.

Why only 1 day a week? That seems stupid and they are causing the problem themselves.

This is happening in San Francisco too, not sure why you're just targeting San Jose

You're free to leave anytime. No law prevents you from that. No law prevents you from petitioning and changing the laws to waive all fees when the preferred method of transactions isn't working. You can get signatures, put it to a ballot measure and go from there. We have solutions to nearly all problems in our nation but everyone just too lazy to implement them.

You’d think you’d try to learn the language of the country you move to…

That's racist and stupid. I'm trying to move to Mexico and have been studying Spanish for years. I can hold a very simple conversation but certainly couldn't hold one based on government issues like those here at the consulate. Just because they can't speak in a foreign language doesn't mean they aren't trying. Would you view me the same as you view them?

@@spocksvulcanbrainI wouldn’t call it racist seeing that the rest of the world doesn’t cater to those who don’t speak the language of the country they are living in. It’s extremely beneficial to learn the language. Most parents use their children to handle their business for them which isn’t very practical. If you’re trying to learn Spanish watch the news in Spanish, they speak properly for the most part without any slang. That’s how many people learn a foreign language.

Yeah, I saw a video earlier of a woman here 35 years and doesn't speak English in her interview, only via off screen translator. Says to me, you have no respect nor desire to be integrated or part of American society, culture, or land itself. 35 Years? Honestly, why are you here if you refuse to even do an interview in English, on an American English TV station.

The point is, learning how to communicate effectively is paramount in any country to plan to live permanently or even temporarily longer than a few months. You don't need to speak fluently but you do need to be able to make a definitive point or request in what you're saying. What is going on is like this.... An American moving to Indonesia where few speak English, and expecting everyone to cater to you cause you're "helpless" and cant speak the language. Yet, you moved there, they didn't move you there. You expect them to change for you? Nope. So why does anyone expect coming to the USA where the defacto language is English, that not knowing a single word outside "hello" and "Me no speaka english" is going to not be a problem?
