Petty theft is stealing a few bucks worth, I may excuse stealing 30 bucks worth of FOOD, but 40k should warrant her going to jail for years, being homeless is no excuse to steal, if she has that much will to steal, she has just as much equal will to better herself and get a job, it is insane who judges are letting go free, absurd that someone who steal 40 thousand dollars worth of product only gets 4 months, it is because of the judge and the thief we have to suffer with higher prices and lower quality of service at stores

There's nothing privileged or confidential about disclosing the identities of judges who are offering their own sweetheart deals to habitual criminals. No one should feel any reluctance at all about asking who and why and when. And a district attorney, representing the state and its taxpayers, arguably owes duty to disclose this sort of information , whether asked or not by inquiring news organizations. Such practices need to see the light of day.

I've been struggling financially so much the past few years due to covid and then my partner's hospitalization. It has affected my physical and mental health. We held it together for a while but things began to fall apart as we couldn't pay our bills. Our rent was increased $250/month with the January lease renewal. Obstacles keep coming and a few months ago, my credit began to be destroyed. I am behind now on half a dozen bills. I'm tried from working on my feet when I'm getting older and my life is so stressful. And I just realized it has never occurred to me to steal. This woman's hardships are no excuse and it is absurd how theft in the Bay Area continues to be tolerated. DA Boudin's own parents were notorious domestic terrorists who did very hard time for murder during a robbery, so perhaps he was not the best choice to hold such an office.

By being the example that you are for others and not viewing yourself as somehow ‘entitled’ to stealing, you’re reminding the world that there are others like you that choose to make the right choices and live honestly, respectfully and with your fellow human in mind. I certainly hope that things get better for you, if the universe works how it should, hopefully there is an easier seasons headed your way. Stay strong ❤
