I would absolutely watch more Sunshine! Please do more episodes, Luke (& Andy!)! A full playthrough would be great! Personally, I liked/like Mario Sunshine a lot! Sorry you’re being persecuted for your convictions, though, Andy, even though admittedly I find it pretty dang funny to see! SMSunshine is certainly nostalgic for me but I do truly like its islandy music, colorful graphics, FLUDD as a character and its mechanics, etc. (I actually hated the levels when you get him taken away!) I like the spraying and cleaning a lot. I found it satisfying, as well as being able to harass NPCs by spraying water, jumping on them, etc.! The Sunflowers 🌻 near the amusement park actually like a good spritzing! So cute! My brain finds both the multicolor and chocolate-colored goop tasty-looking, too, for some reason.

This will forever be one of my favourite Mario games I remember getting it when I first brought my purple GameCube in the early 2000’s being able to play it portably now with the 3d all star’s collection is awesome- imo still some of the best water I’ve seen in a video game plus always thought it was impressive for a GameCube game to have reflections where you sprayed water on the ground

I played all three of the games from Mario Allstars in my childhood, but Sunshine definitely the one I played the most and looked forward to. They definitely could have spent some time fine tuning the controls, particularly the camera controls, but regardless I’m still having a blast revisiting this game!

Rather than an avoidance of, it becomes a stalky obsession instead, an unhealthy attachment with and attention toward the hated, without any real or satisfying connection. Among others, Tolkien describes this very well and poetically, I think in his description of the Barrow-wights the hobbits encounter in the Fellowship book parts. Something like the cold railing and raging at the warmth for which it hungers and longs for.
