That said, I wouldn't say it belongs on this list. Former is not the fridge, it's more like they are trying to take over the fridge, well that would be the power in the fridge and you are kicking them of. Except Former isn't in the fridge, you just go to the part of the Astral plane where Former resides via a connection attached to the fridge, because former is influencing it.

You should have seen the Toolbox from "It Takes Two", your second boss fight is literally chasing after this angry toolbox where the players were armed with a hammer head and flying nails, and its the first boss fight where the two players had to _really_ work together with their own unique skills to survive the onslaught since it was skill-specific

I don't know if I just missed something but I really struggled with that boss, chucking the nades back at the boss drained my energy so I only ever had just enough to dodge and I needed to fly as much as I could because otherwise I'd fall through the floor with the holes it punched through in third and second phase. It took me days to do that boss fight, whenever I heard "the fridge is doing something-" I'd copy him. Only other boss that came close was Salvador, because actually avoiding his attacks while attacking his friends was a nightmare. Tommasi mk 2 as well

The Toilet of Doom from A Hat in Time is hands-down the weirdest boss I've ever had the pleasure of fighting in a video game. It is literally a haunted outhouse that got possessed by your own character's soul. I'm surprised it didn't make the list...

In Job Island for the Wii, although technically there's no explicit "boss fight", you do work against a number of strange 'bosses', including a giant bowl of ramen with a thumb in it that is going to crash into the earth and make it impossible to buy ramen anywhere without somebody sticking their thumb in it.

I swear the Hell House is emblematic of a lot of my problems with 7R. In the original, it was this mutated creature, a fusion of flesh and metal with a predatory instinct. Considering its found just outside the slum villages of burned out cars, a nice warm house would look very tempting to the desperate, which is how the creature within hunts. In 7R it's a robot made to look like a house for no discernable reason except that it was in the original.

How about the Octo Oven from Splatoon 2? In a series where most of the boss fights are pretty weird, none of them can match a tower of bread ovens that shoot out living loafs of bread with Octarian faces on them as platforms to reach its weak point.

Well in Miitopia faces are ripped off and placed on anything to make it an enemy, picking one is kinda hard but the king tut mask that makes your allies think they're Pharos and smacks your Miis with his beard is definitely a top contender

I should clarify that house monster in FF7 made a return in ff9, specifically in The Forgotten Continent. It's called Armstrong in that game, but... it's actually pretty fierce to fight against, since it either counters you by reducing your hp by half, or using Matra Magic, will will reduce a single target's hp to 1 point.

In Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, the final boss is (technically) the statue of liberty converted into a weapon of mass destruction that just so happens to be controlled by a telephone with a God complex. The bosses from the main story mode are already kinda wacky, but I feel that N.I.L.S (which I have no memory of what it stands for) took it to a new level.

If you think fighting the Holy Grail was weird, you had to fight the Persona-equivalent of Siri in Strikers as the final boss, known as EMMA, AKA the Ark of the Covenant, AKA the Demiurge. An AI that has ascended into godhood after being taught how to manipulate human cognition on a near-global scale. I repeat: Siri has ascended into a literal god.

As weird as the holy grail in Persona 5 is, fighting Tokyo Skytree in Persona 4 Golden's optional extra dungeon was even stranger. Persona 3 also had the weird "wheel of fortune" boss. Could do a whole list on Persona actually"

You fight a massive robot hiding under a legendary chair in Nuclear Throne. It’s the main game’s final boss. Once you beat it, though, if you met some other conditions before the fight, it explodes, you go through a massive portal, and you fight it AGAIN while inside the game’s character select screen, while inter-dimensional police department tries to kill you. Nuclear Throne is quite a game.

There’s another chess based boss fight in Baldurs gate in which your party has the movement restrictions of the regular game pieces, fortunately they allow a strategy that is frowned upon in regular matches which is to cover the board in fireballs killing all the opposition
