I’m a bit of a novice and bought this bag and it came in today when the fed ex guy threw it from his truck and onto my porch. I actually love it. Sent a few kicks into it and felt fine. But I can see myself conditioning my shins further on this bag down the line. No shin pads needed for my tolerance level

I bought one not too long ago and love it! I'm 6'4 230ish and hit the shit out of it and don't see any signs of damage. I had an 80-90lbs "everlast" bag a few years ago and it didn't even last a year. Sand and shit was pouring out of it with each hit.

Thanks for the review, Icy Mike. Have a new baby and can't get to the gym like I want so started searching for a bag for home. Saw one of these advertised on CL as "brand new, never used" for $150. Searched youtube for reviews and saw your ugly mug. Just picked it up, still in the vinyl bag, and it feels amazing.

An important tip: You should add a piece of rope between the d-rings and the carabine hook to make the bag last. Otherwise eventually one of the d-rings will snap because the carabine hook breaks them down. When that happens, the bag is done. Much less expensive to replace the piece of rope than the whole bag.
@goodcitizen378012 күн бұрын
The bag is done because a D ring breaks?!? What if you just replace the ring? Lol

I really like the design and style of those bags. You will be able to tell just how good they are with grind over time. one thing surprised me though, did they come with filling already?? I didn't know you could get bags with the inside already prepared. maybe you can wrap one of the bags with some cheap towels which you can keep on with some duct tape or ropes. a good layer of towels will make the surface a little softer for people who aren't used to hard bags and newbies.

@goodcitizen378012 күн бұрын
They do it because the Muay Thai bags are about 14" so slimmer. Not as analogous with the human body. These heavy bags are also more forgiving with the wild punches. Muay Thai bags force better precision and allows for legs kicks. I say get the Muay Thai bag and hang it low.

Hey Icy Mike, awesome videos. How would you rate the firmness of this bag 1-10? I'm currently between one of these and the Title "Flex-Strike" bag, which has a shredded fill for absorbing more impact. The outslayer would likely be higher quality and firmer. The Title bag would be easier on the joints, but after watching a few of your other videos it looks like I want something firmer in order to strengthen the wrists etc while in wraps. I primarily box with the occasional elbows and knees for self-defense. Curious if you would still recommend these, it looks like you have since switched to Revgear. Thank you!

I really want a soft bag even if is not gonna be that durable..i have elbow tendinitis.. I wanna use it for boxing and muay thai so I was thinking maybe an 80 to 100lbs 5 feet bag can work for my needs? My 18 year old is a wrestler and used to fight in muay thai and did some boxing too..he really likes the tear drop bag because all the movement it has. However, I feel I can get more out of a regular heavy bag??he hates banana bags because they just sit there and don't really move. Lol. Somebody told me I can use just old clothes to fill it up?
@ightimmaheadout2903 жыл бұрын
I've heard that's it is very firm. So that would probably mean very good for boxing, and "solid" for kicks/knees/elbows. So, it's probably not soft

I just got one of these and tried it out today. I can see what you mean with the kicks. That shit hurts and I love kicking heavy bags. Never felt pain like the slaps this bag gives to my shins and instep. I'm going to push through it and try to deaden the nerves in my legs, though. Considering getting shin guards, but hopefully I won't be a pussy after a couple months of hitting this. It's excellent for punches, though. Love the feel of every impact on the gloves.
