Hi im Zhamil Muhd from Singapore. I love US Aircraft Carreer,.mostly. In the 80's, i bought the AirFix, Navy aircraft to Aircraft Career model. the biggest model i ever built was USS Enterprise CVN 65, 1/350 scale,.(after the improvement on the island,.very squarish). During the 80's when i was 15,.i memorised and remembered all the CV or CVN numbers for 41 to 69. Midway to Dwight Eisenhower. During the moment ,.there was different fighter aircrafts,.and different aircraft has a different task. A-7 Cousair, A-6 Intruder, Ea-6B Prowler,.S-3 Viking, F-14 FAMOUS TOMCAT!!! (Replaced F-4 Phantom). Currently, the exciment has gone down for me, because one type of aircraft ,.can do multirole act (boring). . Some how, i missed the old kindda Aircraft Carrer,..to keep me liking the aircraft carrer. I watch "The FInal Coundown"- my fav of all time!!! Those were the days. Top Gun too. Facts, Should have a Movie about Aircraft Carrer Again,. Calling Hollywood,..

@gabriel April 24 "The Pentagon will have to live with limits on F-35’s supersonic flights" F-35 is the worst and most expensive shit in the history of aviation, and made in the United States. It does not fly at supersonic sound, because they are afraid that the tail will fall off. Russian aircraft are much more reliable and much cheaper. And yes, the Russians are already producing hypersonic missiles, including nuclear ones. You have no facts, you vile Russophobe.
@mignik014 жыл бұрын
@@grantgml You don't know what you're talking about. It can fly supersonic and no the tail won't fall off. The bubbling on the paint was under extreme conditions and the only thing it does is damage the paint. So they limited the amount of time the aircraft flies supersonic under for normal missions. If it is critical they are allowed to go supersonic for as long as they want. And most probably the paint will be fine. No fighter flies supersonic all the time. It is inefficient. You will run out of fuel long before you reach the target. There is a fix available. They found no point in fixing a problem that isn't a priority. Right, that's why Russia has been parading the Su 57 as a "low cost fifth gen aircraft" and nobody wants it. The initial partner India backed out saying it isn't that impressive. last time I checked 13 countries have lined up to buy the F35.

While I worked a lot on the flightline in the USAF as Firefighter capacity and it had its share of danger, (‘70’s) multiply it by about 6 and that would be flying in the Navy off a carrier! REALLY short runway for take off and landing; having to catch the wire on landing; landing on a runway that pitches up or down 10-20 feet; having almost zero taxiway or ramp space to maneuver over; having to use an elevator to get your plane up to the flight deck; and I could go on and on. Hats off to the Pilots, Flight Deck Crew, Mechs, and Communications Officers who make all this work in such chaos like it’s just another day at the dance!

@kek2074 жыл бұрын
VTOL is heavy and complicated. For easier maintanance they got rid of it in the C version. They have larger wingspan for slower speeds for carriers as well as heavier payload. VTOL is useless if you have a catapult. The thing that makes this plane and out is the fact that it can be used on helicopter carriers
