Best choice. The Aeroscout has a nose wheel design flaw, which in my case broke four times until I finally scrapped the plane for parts. Waiting for my Apprentice to arrive today

Just joined a RC plane club and this is the plane can learn and have fun with. The club recommended this and will buy it at our RC hobby shop. The best would be the panic mode.

Thanks for doing this video and the follow-up first flight. I am considering purchasing an Eflight R/C plane after seeing some in a hobby store last week. I really enjoyed the first flight video and after seeing it and reading other people’s comments, I think that this is the one I will get to start off. It will be my first R/C plane since the only thing I flew previously was an old Cox control-line biplane when I was 10. That was more than 45 years ago! I see this video is about 4 years old, hope you’re still out there having fun!

@@timothyyoch8941 I don’t fly often. I usually leave this one at home. I love the hobby zone aeroscout s 2 1.1 The apprentice looks nice but the aeroscout flys so much easier.

Besides line control back in 1978, I purchased the Apprentice S-6 years ago. The first time up I tip stalled it in a low turn and crashed it. I brought it home, fixed it and had it back up later that day. I did end up buying a simulator and DX6i transmitter as a package deal. Eventually I programmed the Apprentice into the DX6i but never liked it. I had that Apprentice and 4 others as time went on. I had one with floats, on with snow skiis. All kinds of fun. I am back down to one I keep around just for those days I want to enjoy a stress free flying session. I have many other advanced planes but still like my Apprentice.

One thing to know, once it takes off its going to land one way or the other. Also get someone who flies to teach you. Don't think you can do it by yourself. Usually ends up bad.They're lots of fun to fly. Most seasoned pilots Will be glad to help you. Flying is lots more fun than rc cars or trucks. It's a great feeling when you solo your first time. Then you can't wait to do it again. Good luck.

Recommend to find rc club near you. Let experienced rc pilot train you. Will save you time and money. Best to purchase a simulator first, learn your controller before you buy the plane

Really helpful video. I'd been thinking of buying this RC plane as my first but now see that it won't be suitable due to the wing design, i.e. it not being in two halves with a quick-release mechanism so to make it small enough to fit in my car.

May I ask, how to set up the optional GPS. Which I purchased. And, the lAS landing assists sensor. I just can't seem to get it to operate correctly. I'm also, an intermediate flyer. The instructions are vague. Thank you!

Without a doubt this is the best video on how to do something I have ever seen. I just sat here and started and stopped the video as I did everything he said and before you know it - I had a plane. I had struggled for 2 hours trying to follow the booklet before I decided to look for some help. THIS IS IT. FANTASTIC. Thanks ever so mush. Now let's hope I don't crash on my first flight.

I made a huge mistake when flying. I used only the left stick.. i was steering the plane with just rudder.. I got lucky. now I fly about half throttle and I just make big ovals by pulling the right stick down and to the left at an angle. Watch a lot of videos before you fly. This is a really nice plane, but I bought a hobbyzone aeroscout 2 1.1 to learn how to get better and I REALLY like the aeroscout.. i did a video on that .. check it out and good luck.

Great video Mark. Just set up my Apprentice. My elevator servo was very loud. I think I heard yours also. Did you find it noisy?

I'm not sure about the noise. I still have my apprentice and I take it out to fly often. When you fly .. make sure you make your turns with the Ailerons .. I was using only the rudder and I guess I got lucky. I'm still learning and I use the Aeroscout S 2 1.1 a lot .. good luck

No it don't have flaps, but you can do a flap mod
