Ovechkin and Tortorella shouting match after Calvert ejection

Columbus Blue Jackets' Matt Calvert is given a match penalty after hitting Alexander Oveckhin up high with what appears to be a butt-end, John Tortorella gets fired up with the ref and Ovechkin.

For what it's worth... Torts apologized in the post game presser. "nah that's my fault, that's my fault. I thought he dove and i signaled to him. i thought he dove and he took exception. I have no business making any gesture or saying anything to a player. that's not on him. that's stupidity on my part." He's come a long way lmao

I'm NOT an Ovechkin fan at all, in fact I despise the caps. But anyone saying he took a dive has quite obviously never played hockey and DEFINITELY never caught a butt-end right to the mouth. Ovi was the instigator and should have gotten a roughing call, but classless play by Calvert to butt him right in the mouth like that

One hand on the stick should not yield a butt end match penalty. It's 2 minutes for roughing or high stick, maybe 4 if he was bleeding. The whole point of butt end and spearing majors is the mechanical advantage against the body of 2 hands thrusting a stick into it.
